crapfull of covers! Nov 02, 2009 a ripoff album! if JT intended to release a part 2 of Covers, he should have at least chosen songs that will make fans happy! not this one.....tsk tsk tsk

James Taylor Other Covers Sep 25, 2009 I am a 60+ yr. old professional musician who was playing blues and jazz before James ever released any material. If you know anything about music or arrangement, you would instantly recognize how subtle and beautiful his interpretation of Shiver me timbers is. You may also realize the depth of his respect for those that have recorded these songs before him and be less inclined to berate his creative efforts. There are always mitigating circumstances surrounding any song releases....we don't know them, but, I am sure his intentions were honorable and I know that he is not in the business just for the money. I thank him as always for sharing his gifts. Blair Weymouth p.s. I can buy exactly 4 medium size coffees for what I paid for this cd.

The most surprising thing Sep 05, 2009 about this CD is that it informs you that James Taylor is still alive. Who knew?! Didn't he convert to Islam and change his name to Hello Kitty or something like that? I really liked his "Margaritaville" years, but he seemed to have fallen off the radar after making those vampire movies with Wesley Snipes.

Sadly, this one was not a winner for JT fans Jul 29, 2009 I was given the 'Covers' CD at Christmas and enjoyed it very much. In particular, I liked Seminole Wind and loved hearing JT's version of Witchita Lineman and it made me want to hear him do more Jimmy Webb/Glen Campbell songs. So when I heard that there was a 'More Covers' CD to be released, I thought how perfect! Unfortunately, I found this CD not only short but a bit flat. As big a fan as I am (having heard James Taylor in concert numerous times), this one left me feeling a bit cheated.

Taylor always a treat Jul 19, 2009 James Taylor is one of those classic entertainers who seem to be able to do no wrong. This is by no means a masterpiece but he put s a great original spin on the standards he's covering.
