Starts out strong.... Sep 13, 2008 I have owned this album since it came out, and after two subsequent releases, I would say One by One still has the hardest and darkest songs you can find by the Foos. And if you followed the Foo Fighters each step like I have, it's one of those albums that you buy and are slightly disappointed at first because the last one was so thoroughly great (There is Nothing Left to Lose is still my favorite). Quite frankly, as an album it is uneven. The first four songs, All My Life, Low, Have It All, and Times Like These are so hard hitting and fast tempo-ed that the rest of the album feels slow. But those four songs are greatest hits material, and will be staples for Foo Fighters concerts for as long as the band plays. As for the rest of the album, the songs aren't terribly exciting or memorable. One definitely learns to appreciate them more over time.

why is this the worst foo cd??????!?!? Jul 01, 2008 yes, this effort from foo fighters was a bit laid back, maybe not as great as their last 3 cd's but this is the Cd that started Foo with their more poppy even more hooky songs, this was the precursor to In Your Honor which IMO is AWESOME! but so is this CD, its very listenable at all times. i think its great.
Least intriguing of all Foo material. Jun 08, 2008 Coming from a Foo fan tried and true, this would have to be my least favorite (including newest Echoes). It's the one I look back on and hear the least amount of memorable material. However, there are a lot of sweet b-sides to this album that should have actually taken place of half of the songs on here. So def. get a chance to check them out, or try to buy their MP3s.
Foo Fighters, not Poo Fighters! May 22, 2008 A few really great songs on this album, i was disappointed that it was not available for download on Amazon but I managed to purchase it here the old fashioned way.
Foo Fighters "One by One" Apr 21, 2008 Since first hearing Foo Fighters latest album "Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace", I've been a big fan of their music. I decided to pick up "One by One" after hearing "Times Like These" on a local radio station.
Compared with "Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace", "One by One" is a good album, but it doesn't quite come to par with "E,S,P,G". "Times Like These",
"All My Life", and "Overdrive" are destined to become Foo Fighters classics, and the rest of the CD is just as enjoyable. I recommend this CD for anyone who is a fan of Foo Fighters, and if you're not, this is a good CD to start out with.
