Page Turner Nov 06, 2009 I didn't think I would enjoy the second installment since she left Bones in the first. This book came out of nowhere and was finished in one day. I couldn't put it down, I think i was smiling the whole time. It was superb, sadly over before I knew it. I'm now working on the third installment of this series. This book was action packed with angry moms, family reunions, blasts from the past, action (flying, fighting, dodging bullets), and unexpected, unrelenting romance! Everything you possibly want in a paranormal suspense romance. Wonderfully written and presented!
Five Star Series- If you love the Sookie Series you'll love this Nov 01, 2009 I have never been motivated enough to write a review on any book until I read this series. After finishing the Sookie Stackhouse series I was searching for something that would keep me occupied until the next book in the series came out. On the advise of book forum I found this series. After reading the first few pages of the first chapter online I was already hooked. The writing style and dialogue Frost uses is neither repetitive or pulpy, as I've noticed other writers from this genre use. Her use of description is also quite impressive. After reading the first book I found myself desperate to find out what happens next, and I quickly tracked down the remaining 3 books. The whole series is fast passed, romantic, action filled, and has a refreshing new take on vampires. The only bad thing I can say is that the author decided to write a few spin-offs from this series instead of writing the 5th book. Keep'em coming please.
A must read! Oct 29, 2009 the series is very good!..once you start the first one you won't stop till you finish the whole series..i know i've read the all 4 books in 2 days!

Not a bad sequel Oct 23, 2009 Our half-vampire Cat has been working as a vampire-killer for a covert group since she cut off all ties with her vampire lover in the previous book. Of course, she still loves him, and when he finally tracks her down, struggles against the urge to renew their relationship while believing his association with her threatens his existence. When her boss and team find out, their trust in her is shaken, which makes it all the more difficult to combat the mercenaries who are out to kill her for the price on her head. And when she discovers the secrets her employer has kept from her, even more chaos ensues. This second book is action-packed and filled with enough romantic angst for the reader who thirsts for it, but for me it skirts dangerously close to the edge of cheesy at times. Still, despite the extended gratuitous sex scene at the end which really felt overdone and irrelevant, on the whole the book is entertaining and still leaves me curious enough about the characters to read the next installment.
