Omron HR-100C Heart Rate Monitor Jul 01, 2009 Very nice, reliable product at a great price. I had a Polar previously but I couldn't change the batteries, so this was a replacemement purchase. I will agree with another reviewer that the chest strap and even the watch strap may be a little bit large for small-boned women, but everything still works and is comfortable
Good quality at a low price Jun 29, 2009 I've had mine for about a month and so far no complaints. Inside, outside, works just as expected; no difficulty with belt placement.
It is good for price Jun 29, 2009 This heart monitor was a good price and it works just fine. It was fairly easy to program following the directions in the booklet that comes with it. What it doesn't do which I thought it would is notify you when you are over or under your personal range for where your heart rate zone should be: it doesn't! The band is also not small enough for me and it did not come with a smaller band so it slips down while I am working out. My chest is about 34" so if you are bigger than that it should be fine. Ultimately it works and if you are ok with constantly looking at your watch while working out to know if you are in the zone then it will be good for you.
Excellent Monitoring Device Jun 29, 2009 If you have a heart condition and need to monitor your percent of MHR (Maximum Heart Rate) for an exercise event this is the gadget for you. The wrist component arrived with a dead battery and the manual states that it must be changed by a jeweler in order to not void the warranty. I opened and checked inside to see if there was a plastic strip to be removed to activate the battery and I was not tempted to change it myself so paid the jeweler to do it. I have found this monitor very useful to maintain my heart rate at/below 80-85% MHR which is a medical necessity for me. I have been able to determine when to slow down a bit (just climbed over the railroad tracks), how fast/how long to walk on my non-motorized treadmill and how to set the paramenters on a motorized treadmill so that an exercise event does not wipe me out for the rest of the day.
Heart Rate Monitor Jun 27, 2009 I wanted a basic monitor without the extras. I found this product easy to program and the chest band to be very comfortable. The watch has a rubber mounting bracket, which I've attached to my treadmill and with the large digital display, I can easily check the time and see my heart rate as I exercise. Love the high-low heart rate indicator. Now I can exercise at my correct heart rate level for a shorter amount of time instead of working out excessively.Omron HR-100C Heart Rate Monitor
