5They keep the fire burning!!!  Oct 15, 2006
I have been a fan of Firehouse since the beginning. I have enjoyed everyone of their albums. There has not been a disappointment yet & this album is no acception. This is one of the greatest albums they have done. Some of them may not "live up to" the original, but, it does show that Firehouse can still rock & that time has not changed a thing. They keep getting better & better with every album. On a scale of 1-10, O2, just like all the previous & most recent, gets an 11! There is no stopping them. Best songs??? All of them. Any questions? Listen to the album. It speaks for itself.

4Not Too Bad...  Jul 22, 2004
I really enjoyed the first 2 Firehouse albums, and while not as good, I thought this album wasn't all that bad. I'm not a "die hard" fan or anything, but I think anyone who enjoyed their earlier albums would probably like most of the tracks on this one. The first 2 tracks ('Jumpin' and 'Take It Off') are the fast-paced, drum and guitar packed songs that they do so well. Some of the others I could do without, like the track 'The Dark' which is a rap/rock kind of song. There are some decent power ballads as well. The track 'Loving You Is Paradise' is good, but it's no 'Love Of A Lifetime'. Overall, I thought this was a good effort from a hard-rock band that can still make some good music.

4Depends on how big of a Firehouse fan you are...  Mar 08, 2004
I have read many reviews for this album and it seems that there are mixed reactions on Firehouse's O2. I admit its not their strongest release (check out their self titled debut, Hold Your Fire, and Prime Time if you want definitive Firehouse) but I still think it's a good (not great but not terribly bad) album. I admit the songwriting isn't as strong as previous releases but if you can get over that then you have raw gritty hard rock CD. Vocalist CJ Snare still sound as good as when the band hit the scene and guitarist Bill Leverty isn't afraid to let loose showing his skills an elite rock guitarist.

Firehouse obviously made this album for themselves and their fans and when it comes right down to it you will either like or hate the album depending on how big of a Firehouse fan you are. If you are a die hard fan (like myself) then you won't be judgmental but if you only like the band somewhat stick with their first few albums and their latest effort Prime Time.

Standout Tracks - Don't Fade On Me, What Can You Do, Call Of The Night, I'm In Love This Time, and Loving You Is Paradise.

4Their best Album since 1992!!!  Apr 18, 2003
This marks the return of one of the bigger bands from the early 1990's. O2 is by far their best album in a while. It blows Category 5 away!! If you like the first two albums then you should enjoy this one a lot. It might even be a little heavier than those two as well. The best song on the album is the second track called "Take It Off". It is a fist pumping tune that has perhaps the greatest lead guitar solo from any FH album to date. Check this one out, you will enjoy!

2Way Better Than Category 5, But...........  Jan 20, 2003
Well at least after listening to this, I can say Firehouse is back. After the last CD (Category 5), I thought one of my favorite bands had been kidnapped and replaced with some... pop-metal/wanna-be country band. While this CD is not as good as it could be, it is a refreshing listen after 'Category 5'. This is definately their hardest effort since 'Hold Your Fire'. Which is a good thing. But all is not good here, unfortunately. "Jumpin'" is a nice opening hard rock track. It's definately aimed at being a concert favorite. "Don't Fade On Me" is their best ballad since "I Live My Life For You". It's not the sappy kind (they save that for "Loving You Is Paradise" later on the CD), but it's very good. It's the best song on the CD. "Unbelievable" is a cool, little tune. It has that same toe-tapping rhythm that "Sleeping With You" had. I think another reviwer menioned this, as well. The rest is mostly filler. This is not a great CD, by any means. And maybe they will never be as good as their debut, but it's an improvement over 'Category 5' (in my opinion) and a step in the right direction.
