No Other Artist Sep 05, 2008 Each song can stand alone. Great guitar riffs and unusual structures keep it fresh. Great tunes to take your mind of of housework.
Great Value for your music dollars Nov 08, 2006 I discovered Chuck at the Tropical Heat Wave music event in Ybor City last summer. He was my musical find of the year. This album has a preponerance of well written interesting songs that are collectively impossible to categorize. If you like blues, country and rock and you can take a little quirky at times you probably can't go wrong here. If you are always looking for the next musical thrill, like me, hopefully this will do it for you too. Great songs, great vocal style, great guitar, great theater and even good humor too. (he even likes cats!) I concur with another reviewer "Why isn't this guy famous?" I will not rest until I have checked out everything he has done. As a frame of reference, other artists I feel that way about are Mark Knophler, Rolling Stones (Keef!), Etta James, BB King, ColdPlay, Harry Manx, Al Green, Ben Webster, Mozart.
thanks Lucinda Jun 16, 2006 I first read about Chuck while checking out a list of who Lucinda Williams is listening to these days. I loved Chuck immediately. Catchy tunes, never boring no matter how many times you play it. And it just made me love Lucinda all the more....please, won't both of you play a gig in SC sometime soon???
Mr "Cool" all the way Nov 21, 2004 Chuck Prophet is one of the best musicians out there today, and it's just a shame he's not getting more press. Comparisons to Petty are ok, but this guy's music is much greasier, bluesier, and his songwriting is so intelligent, guy's like mainstream Petty don't hold a candle to him. He's been around for years, but he's really shown how talented he is with his solo releases; it's roots rock the way it's supposed to be played. The thing with No Other Love is that it get's better all the time. I've listened to it for a year now, and I appreciate it more each time I hear it. One of the best disc's of 2003.

A good, solid album Oct 31, 2004 I only give out 5 stars to albums that you have to own. Four stars indicates above average and this album is all of that. I've owned it for about nine months now and find myself re-playing it frequently. These songs tend to stick in my mind which always indicates to me an album that's a keeper. I recommend that you buy it.
