Write More Mr. Bell! Nov 08, 2009 My 11yr old son loved this book. I'm also looking for good adventure books that are not scary and full devilish characters.

Good Frothy Fun! Oct 24, 2009 I really have enjoyed many of Ted Bell's novels in the past and was tickled to death when I read 'Nick of Time'. It is a marvelous story where the good guys always win and being a family or friend means something valuable. If you have children and want to make readers out of them, this absolutely should be one of the weapons in your arsenal against the boob tube & video games.

Kids of all ages will enjoy this tale Oct 16, 2009 I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Yes,it's written for a younger age group( I am 60),but it won't insult your intelligence. What a fun read. Wished I'd had a youngster handy to share it with them. Great character development, and story. Intrigue, suspense, time travel, set at the beginning of WW11 in the Channel Islands. I would recommend this book for children 8 and up.
Can't wait for the next one.

Great read-aloud book Sep 29, 2009 This is one of those books which is great to snuggle in & read aloud with your child/children/grandkids. Bedtime, weekend mornings, or as a reward for getting ready for school on time... whenever! A chapter aloud with your kids each day will create a priceless memory. My brother and I will never forget evenings with my grandomother as she read "A Little Princess" and "The Secret Garden" (just one more chapter, PLEASE!!!) to the both of us.
"Nick of Time" is a grand adventure. And because the characters are an older brother and a terrific younger sister, plus an evil pirate, loving and realistic parents, helpful adults AND the setting is awesome AND the history is fascinating - there is something for everyone.
Am ready for the sequel - want to know where DaVinci's time traveling orb will take them next!
