4Young King in remixes  Nov 18, 2009
Since Michael Jackson's gone, we've got many albums connect with his works. "The Remix Suite" is one of the most interesting proposition.

Unfortunatelly many remixes are tiring and boring for our ears. It's hard to say that "Dancing Machine" (Steve Aoki), "Never Can Say Goodbye" (The Neptunes) or "Hum Along And Dance" (Morales Giamsta) are "fresh" or original. But besides infantile and boring remixes there are some really great stuffs. Absolutely the best track for dance is "Dancing Machine" by great Pollow Da Don. He used brother's choirs in very original way and on the hard beat background, Michael's voice sounds incredible sexy and attractive. Really nice is also "Maria (You Were The Only One)" but the real soul of this cd are two songs - "Ben" and "Maybe Tomorrow".

These two ballads for the end of album are wonderful! I was really afraid of Akon's work cause how he could destroy Michael's song, he showed it in the remix of "Wanna Be Startin' Something". But here... Wow, legendary "Ben" doesn't sound like after Akon's work. He increased and thickened the instrumentation, so good job! But the most incredible remix is for sure "Maybe Tomorrow". Damn, this is better than the original record and I swear, shivers will go up and down your body! Amazing orchestral beginning with an intense harmony opens the way for heavenly Michael's voice. Voice which kills by his simplicity. Just shocking.

This album proves again that Michael Jackson was a genius, no matter how old he was. It shows not only his big voice but also his huge sensitivity and heart for the music. It makes me happy that someone wants propagate earlier Michael's works. It's a pity not all remixes are good but if you think over - buy "The Remix Suite" or "This Is It", I swear - choice is banal!

2This Needed To Be Better!  Nov 13, 2009
Ok, let me first start with a little history about MJ remixes. It would not be until 1991 when Michael Jackson would receive a remix done by club Djs who know their stuff. Until then, Michael songs that did receive remixes sounded like longer versions of the album versions. Had Jackson's songs been remixed by the likes of Morales and Munzubia (M&M), Jellybean, Bruce Forest or Shep Pettibone - just to name a few 1980's top DJ's - they would have sounded removed from the album version EVEN THOUGH the remixer would have simply remixed the multi-track master without changing all the music like remixes of nowadays.
Fast-Forward to the early 1990's. Cole & Clivilles of "C&C Music Factory" fame were the first to do the remixing honors and the song: Black Or White the lead single from "Dangerous" and they gave it their all. Over the next two years several songs from the Dangerous album would receive remixes from top Dj's like E-Smoove, Steve "Silk" Hurley, Frankie Knuckles and the UK's Brothers In Rhythm - again this is a few of the slew of DJ's who worked with Jackson's music. While this remix madness was going on another remix project was under way; Michael Jackson's past hits from "Off The Wall", and "Thriller" received remixes from the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Masters At Work, Frankie Knuckles and Junior Vasquez and some other well known remixers. There was going to be a series of singles with all these remixes.... CANCELED! In 1993 Michael Jackson became the target of nasty allegations and because of this, the remix project was shelved. The project was revived later in the 1990's only to be shelved again over more allegations.
Now in the present, Michael Jackson's death rocks the world and of course there are going to be those who will seek to cash in on this unfortunate event. Let's face it, that's human nature. It happened with Elvis and it's happening with Michael. Now seeing that Michael no longer has to be dogged out with allegations, I guess it's safe to bring out a remix album. So now here is my question. "WHY NOW RELEASE THE REMIXES DONE IN THE EARLY 1990S THAT GOT SHELVED TWICE?" I would have loved to have Tony Moran's remix for Billie Jean, or Danny Tenaglia's mix for Thriller. The remixes on this album seem like bandwagon remixes and that is not the way to commemorate the King of Pop.

1This is The Worst  Nov 03, 2009
People don't know when to leave well enough alone. These remixes are completely terrible. Thank the lord for download because this album is a complete mess. If I would've bought this album I would demand my money back ASAP.

Stop messing with Michael Jackson's legacy by releasing these pointless remix albums. Like Chris Tucker famously said "the man destroying a classic". And that goes for everyone involved and everyone who thought this was a good idea. This is by far the weakest attempt thus far to capitalize off of this man's death. The album is unlistenable and the only song worth anything is the Never Can Say Goodbye remix...but even that's barely passable.

This effort gets zero stars. Stay far away from this hodgepodge compilation.

The front and back covers are creepy. They photoshopped young Michael Jackson's head on adult Michael Jackson's body!
