and she's beautiful to boot! Sep 27, 2007 This album is for Jaci Velasquez an extraordinary achievement. In it she emerges from the status of a managed star-in-the-making to that of a young woman who really sings. Mi Corazón uses the hit 'Como se cura una herida' as its title track, giving Jaci an opportunity to hint at things to come.
But it is the deeply felt, lush alto of 'Bendito amor' that truly resonates not only as a vocal performance but as the signature piece of a mature artist. The good news is that her music can be extaorrdinariliy playful without losing its increasing umph. Just dip i nto 'Déjame quererte para siempre' and ''Vaya con Dios', the last two tracks before the artist closes out Mi Corazón with a Ranchero version of the opener.
This reviewer finds in this album a highly effective example in the difficult crossover genre. Jaci has kept the clarity of her Christian faith while achieving an artistic level that is recognizable to all.
The theme of many of the songs is hanging in and finding grace in the midst of disillusionment. Various meta-narratives are advanced to describe what Ms. Velasquez was experiencing at the moment. Those, however, are not the subject of this review and it is wise to remember that Jaci herself did not write these songs.
In its essence, Mi Corazón is a breakout product on purely musical grounds. Everything else is icing on the cake.

Love it Sep 06, 2004 This is just a comment of how much I enjoy Jaci's music. Her hispanic music is the best. I love the tunes and knowing that I am not singing along with something vulgar in another language. :) "Llegar a Ti" has been a favorite of mine for a long time. I have ruined the tape because I've played it so much. So I came online to buy a CD of it and discovered "Mi Corazon". I am overjoyed with it! I am so glad that Jaci made another hispanic recording! I hope that she does more in the future. It fits her singing ability more than plain American pop-style or rock-style music.

Jaci at her best Dec 05, 2003 I have every Jaci CD and I have to say that this is my favorite. I don't speak Spanish, but I've memorized every word and know every tune by heart. Jaci poured her heart out on this album and broke many borders. She sang about her parent's divorce, her once broken heart and her strong faith. As a Christian singer some of those things are taboo to sing about (which is ridiculous, I might add), but she felt called to share her thoughts and feelings. My favorite songs have to be Lo Que Nunca Cambiaria, Invierno de Mi Ser, and Dejame Quererte Para Siempre. Her voice is still smooth on this album. I've found that her latest ones she's kind of choppy and trying to hard to be what's hot. This album is definitely what Jaci is made of and capable of. You should go out and buy it- NOW! lol!

Pretty good! Mar 28, 2003 This cd is not Jaci's best, but yet it is a good cd! Some of the songs seem less orented on God but more on herself. I'd suggest geting "Legar a ti" insted, but if you've already got'nt it and your a Jaci V fan, it won't matter. It's a great CD don't get me wrong, just I was expecting as little bit more from Jaci after her awesome CDs "A heavenly place", "Jaci velasquez", "Legar a ti" and "Crystal clear". Though her song "Lord of my heart" (On this cd, and in Spanish) is good enough to buy the hole cd just for that song! :D
