Not an upbeat "kids" album Jan 31, 2010 If you know kid's taste at all, then you know they like simple, bright melodies that are fun and upbeat. I really love most of the artists on this album, but none of them really made a kid's song. The Rainbow Connection is the closest, and Michael Stipe does an OK job on his track, but the rest are almost gloomy. What were you thinking, Indigo Girls?? Unless you'd like your kids to practice introspection and deep sighs, stay away from this one.
This CD is great Sep 28, 2009 My daughter and I both like the CD. She is 15 months old and dances all around the house. It is nice to hear regular music artists singing childrens songs.

This CD is will not make you want to poke your eyeballs out! May 18, 2009 First off I will say...I am NOT a fan of kids' music. Laurie Berkner, Dan Zane, and Raffi make me want to run screaming from the room. This is the first children's CD that I find immensely enjoyable and my 6 year old daughter loves it, too. The tracks are light-hearted enough for my daughter to listen to over and over. And I like the overall message and tone of the CD...little star; reduce, reuse, recycle; rainbow connection; baby mine. Four thumbs up from me and my daughter!!
Ok - a little self-indulgent by the artists Feb 18, 2008 I don't think they had entertaining children in mind as much as impressing themselves and other musicians. Not all bad music... ok... but it had a '90's droning feel. I rather appreciate the "For the Kids" series, if you're looking for good children's music by contempory artists.

Not for Kids Nov 26, 2007 The music on this CD is okay, but not made for children. There is nothing engaging about any of these songs. There are no smiles from my daughter when I play this CD, and that's very hard to do.
