Mario Apr 09, 2009 I love this cd and the price i bought it for. I was unable to find it anywhere else. It was like they stopped selling it or something.
Mario- Mario Dec 10, 2007 Well i will tell you that mario is extremely talented considering he was only 15 at the time of this album. That helped him alot. Because while you can tell by most of the tracks are elementary party songs. But its the occasional mid tempo love song that really shows the promise that Mario really has. Such as on the Underdogs produced track "What Your Name Is" which has mario singing to his girl about how age aint nothing but a number. It has a real soothing mid tempo beat to it. Then there is the track "Chick Wit The Braids" which also shows his talent with the mid tempo tracks. But he tends to faid away from his mature subject matter on songs like , "Holla Back" and "Put Me On", but thats to be expected from a 15 year old singer. But that still makes it immature song matter. But none the less Mario has got some serious talent and i see him being around for a while.

Put Me On has the worst beat on the album. Sounds like something a rap star would have used back in '95. Lyrics are OK though. Could U Be on
the other hand, is awesome. Great beat and decent lyrics. The only thing wrong with that song is that, "Cutie." is repeated over and over and over. Lastly, I wasn't feeling Chick Wit Da Braids. Luckily, the beat saved it!
Mario is a decent album. Nothing new to gain here. But it's a lot more R&B-stained more than I thought it'd be. If you want something to relax to or even to get ready for a party or to go out, choose Mario!

Decent Debut in this slice of Bubble Gum R&B Jan 09, 2007 Initially I wrote Mario off as another kiddie one hit wonder like Corey or many other one name singers. To my surprise his debut actually had some nice material on it, in particular the slow jams. The slow jams What Your Name Is & Could You Be both produced by The Underdogs easily showcase Mario's vocals. I was never really impressed with his singles Just A Friend & Braid My Hair and more than likely we will never hear Braid My Hair live as he no long has braids. Mario is an artist whose material got better with his second CD and I can't wait to hear this third CD. Given the right material and with his excellent voice, Mario could become one of the better R&B singers in the game.
Can you braid my hair. May 06, 2006 People i loved this cd.
Alot of friends were on me for getting this because he was so young and I was feelin his style.
This is another cd where you can play all the way through.
I think it was a great first effort. Too bad he didn't stick with it.
