C Feb 12, 2002 This c.d has some great songs on it. The main thing that i like about this c.d. is that it really isn't pop. My favorite songs would have to be "Yellow" by Coldplay, "Sing" by Travis, and "Life on a Chain" by Pete Yorn.

Great Compilation album Jan 23, 2002 ...Concerned about buying an album from a one hit wonder? Have you noticed that compilation CDs are increasingly doing better on the billboard charts, especially around the holiday season? There is one reason for it. VALUE. Compilation CDs enable an artist to reach a big audience through licensing out a song that has already been released as a single. In doing so they hope to increase their individual record sales through drawing in new listeners to their music. By the time the CD is released the single should have already maximized the revenue potential for the record company and, at the same time, the music fan like us gets to buy NUMEROUS songs for an incredibly reasonable price. In this case, MTV2 has licensed the 18 tracks shown below, of which at least 8 of them kick butt in my opinion. When it comes to music reviews, I don’t do many because tastes vary DRAMATICALLY from person to person. Kind of ironic given it takes less time to listen to a CD then read a book, huh? Or maybe it is that people want to express similar attitudes with books do to the time invested in reading it. Anyways, BUY THIS CD. IT ROCKS. I have the albums for 3 of these artists as I was a fan of Dave Navarro, Pete Yorn and Ryan Adams but there are TONS of great tracks on this CD. 1. Sing - Travis 2. Life On A Chain - Pete Yorn 3. Short Skirt/Long Jacket - Cake 4. Rexall - Dave Navarro 5. Yellow - Coldplay 6. Save Me - Remy Zero 7. Sometimes - Ours 8. Idioteque (Live) - Radiohead 9. Name Of The Game - Crystal Method 10. Sleeping Faster (US Mix) - Lo Fidelity Allstars 11. Babylon - David Gray 12. New York, New York - Ryan Adams 13. Superman (It's Not Easy) - Five For Fighting 14. Screaming Infidelities (Remix) - Dashboard Confessional 15. The Life - Mystic 16. Pain - Stereomud 17. Wonderboy - Tenacious D 18. Shinobi vs. Dragon Ninja - lostprophets
