One of his best ever Nov 20, 2009 Why did Dan have to die so young? He would have given us years and years of his fabulous music.
This album contians so many "typical" Dan Fogelberg songs that it's a must for everyone who enjoys his music and good music in general.
So don't hesitate. Buy !!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonderful! Nov 16, 2009 Looking at the picture on the back cover of Dan on stage, and then hearing the final notes of "Bird" (the last song on this, the last of his albums) which are the lead in notes to "To the Morning" (the first song on his first album "Homefree" brought tears to my eyes. Thanks Jean for releasing the music, it's wonderful and sad at the same time.
Must have for Fogelberg admirerers Nov 15, 2009 With this album Dan Fogelberg showed us that he loved what he was doing during his lifetime - writing and performing music with beautiful lyrics. While happy that we were able to acquire this album with all originals almost two years after his passing, it's also sad to know that this will be the final music we will ever hear from him. Typically Dan, he made a connection back to his beginnings. The last song on this (final) album ends with the exact same chord as which his very first song on his first album begins.
So worth the wait! Nov 14, 2009 This collection of work from Dan was so worth the wait, and thank you to Amazon for donating a percentage to the Prostate Cancer Foundation in Dan's name. Price was very reasonable, and delivery incredibly quick.
Many of the melodies are reminiscent of early Fogelberg tunes, and others echo the sounds of his career and life having come full circle, and of the love and happiness that surrounded him in the latter days of his life.
If you've ever felt a connection with Dan's music at any time in the past, you will love and cherish this very last gift he left to all of us, his fans. Ever on, Dan... your music will continue to live on in our hearts.
Hauntingly Beautiful Nov 10, 2009 The album is wonderful and you won't regret the purchase. Especially love "Sometimes a Song". While we miss him, I know he's making beautiful music with God.
