the Other "KING" of pop? Apr 18, 2008 Well after watching his fun Videos on You-Tube. I decided to head over to Amazon and see if he was ever released on Cd. Low and Behold he was last Year! We all know Michael Jackson is the "KING of Pop" but Paul King's deep, lush and festive pop vocals are still fantastic today. In 1984 my good friend at the time Tracy Fink (RIP) called me and several other friends to call into our local radio station, KZZP and request love and Pride to try to crack the top ten that week on the countdown after she had heard it before any of us. We all did and it made it. Later at our local Hangout in Phoenix "hotbods" the song was frequently played along with the fun catchy video. The Cd is a fun trip dowm memory lane and the music still sounds upbeat and fresh by today's standards. I had the cassette tape(yes we had those back in the mid 80's) and wore it out . 24 years later I am still excited by the melodies and catchy Pop gems and fantastic remixes included on this Disc as I drive all over the Bay area. Thanks Amazon for this recent "Blast from the Past"!

Love & Pride Aug 23, 2006 Well it's cool I finally got this CD. I still love all the tracks that I grew up on. You can still find Steps in Time around on CD I had it twice. I still have Bitter Sweet on Vynal. The CD is good but I really think Paul could have put more of Steps in Time songs on the CD. Those are the ones that really stand out.. Im suprised Classic Strangers wasn't on it or the other remixes? But instead it's more of his solo junk. That is when I gave on Kings music. He is a great artist but needs the cooky corky synths sounds to go along with it. But over all it was worth the money and I do enjoy listening to it..

A Blast from the Past! Brilliant! The Best of King! Jun 22, 2003 Finally! I hunted down a King CD! I saw this group live a few times in the UK in the 80's. They were brilliant then and still are! Tracks to note are,"I Kissed the Spikey Fridge" (strange title but great track). Of course, "Love & Pride" - their most famous ditty. However, I also love "Alone Without You", "Torture", and "Taste of Your Tears". Take my advice...check out this CD if you have a chance and you like great British rock music!!
