I loved this CD set - it has some of my very favorite recordings from that era including the Three Degrees and it introduced me to some artists I had completely forgotten about. It is a very welcomed addition to my collection of oldies and now that it is on my iPod - it allows me to relax when I travel - (which is often).

If you like the sound of philadelphia, this collection has it all.I first heard of this collection on an interview with Gamble and Huff on the PBS radio program Fresh Air and was completely sold on it.

I heard about this collection from the All Songs Considered show on NPR. I had no idea how much of this music was from Philly? It certainly rivals and in some ways triumphs Motown. It should be getting alot more publicity then it seems to be receiving....

I purchased this particular CD box set as a gift. I knew that it would be a hit with the recipient. It turned out to be more appreciated then I could imagine. He loved it! He has always said the band (MSFB), who played for all of these artist was the best Studio Band in the world. I was very proud and happy to present this to a real music lover. This person is a major contributor in helping to delvelop my ear for great music. I wish I had gotten a copy of this CD for myself. I may do that. Finally, the price was the most competitive around.
