Great Album!!!!!! Jun 01, 2008 This is a great cd. All songs are excellent. This album doesn't have any bad song. The songs are fast, dynamic and very melodics, and the production is very good too. Is difficult to say what is the best songs here but I can say the first two songs and Fiction are the best songs in this album :)
Kids' Hair Metal Album before breaking up Mar 09, 2008 2 stars if your a fan of Kids in the Way early sound. 3.5 if you're not and into modern big rock, pop metal. I would love to be more enthusiastic about this album, especially as Dave Pelsue of Kids in the Way, is a great guy. But if you loved the Kids in the Way sound and vibe of the previous albums, it is hard not to be jarred at the difference on this album. The band sounds different and Dave sings different and the lyrics and themes are so different [almost entirely it seems about girls and relationships with girls] that you think it's an entirely different band. There are some great pop metal chorus's, though for me, I can't help but think such would better fit being done by Def Leppard, Loverboy, etc. If you're a fan of hair metal and the modern take on it, than this is a solid album, much better, for example than bands like the Donna's and their modern pop metal take. But if you are not and are expecting the Kids in the Way sound or alternative rock, emo, or punk songs, than this is not the album for you, see their previous work.
Freaking Awesome Music! Dec 29, 2007 This album rocks my face off! I know everyone's hating on them for not sounding like their old selves, but all bands progress and change somewhat album to album....or at least, they should. This music bleeds talent and I wish I could see this album's live tour. I listen to this album all the time and I've liked it since my first listen. Good work dudes. Check out Eric's solo stuff....especially "The Snickers Song"!
Decent... but not their best Oct 16, 2007 I had very high expectations for this album... Being at age 28, they are one of my all-time favorite bands. But this album took a step in the wrong direction in my opinion. The emotional level just didn't seem to be there as much. Lyrically, they did not seem to step up to the level they had set for their music.
All in all, a decent CD for a band... but not to the level we have come to know and love from KITW...
Hopefully the next CD takes a step back in the right direction.

Fallout in the Way Sep 29, 2007 Let me say first off (as a little background), I think Apperations of Melody was a fantastic album. That said, I move on.
"Love Hate..." is rediculously catchy, pop-punky, sing-alongable, and entirelly dissapointing. There doesn't seem to be any track on the album (besides "fiction" which was released on the special edition Apperations of Melody) that sounds like the distinct, orignal Kids in the Way that we knew before. Instead we get - Fall Out Boy (or Fallout in the Way, as I shall be refering to them from now on).
IF you like modern pop-punk like Fallout Boy, then "Love Hate..." will fit your fancy quite well. However, this album fails to capture the raw emotion of David's voice and songwriting as it did in past efforts. Choruses are filled with "who-oh's" and "yea-eh's", and David's voice rarely fades into his signiture scream. Indeed, for the first few tracks his voice, which on their previous two albums (especially Appirations) was very distinct and original, could not be told apart from dozens of other bands in the genre. To me, this was dissapointing. To you, it might not be.
A solid, catchy record it may be, but Kids in- rather, Fallout in the Way may have lost a fan with this album. I hope to be proven wrong...
