Fabolous delivers.........finally. Dec 29, 2009 Fabalous has long been an outstanding lyricist who was never able to find a true rhythm to his music. From street smart hustler, to outspoken gangster, to boppin ladys man he has never found a way to blend his styles behind one sound on an album. Range is good yes but so is a focused effort towards your audience. Fabolous finally delivers what his fans have been waiting years for. this album easily holds it own against other major releases this year like lil wayne and jay-z. Make no mistake this is a must have album for any one who loves hip hop. The kid from brooklyn finally grew up and his music came with him.
Hot Album Dec 09, 2009 Fabolous has stepped his lyrical rap game up with this one.. I think this album is hot all the way through and highly recommend this to any hip hop fan. I usually stick to southern artists but ventured out to buy this cd and I am very glad I did. Great album go get it!
3 1/2 "Loso's Way" Dec 09, 2009 "You can't ride big on little rims. You trynna do it big? You need a little Kim." -Fabolous
Fabolous is one of my favorite rappers. He has a relaxed attitude, but comes up with some of the best one-liners I have ever heard. He doesn't have too many problems with other rappers and I respect that about him; some rappers thrive off of controversy with others, but Fab seems to be content on enhancing his craft. My favorite album of his is "Street Dreams", but "Loso's Way" is a worthwhile purchase, too. The majority of these tracks are mid-tempo and that is because this is a conceptual album; any song you listen to sets the tone for the entire LP.
He has great guest appearances: Marsha Ambrosius, Jay-Z, The Dream, Lil' Wayne, Keri Hilson, Trey Songz and Ryan Leslie are a few of the many guest appearances. The Dream produced a few tracks and all of them are decent. "Throw it in the Bag" is the track which features The Dream and it is also the first single. Fab tells his lady to purchase whatever she wants, he will purchase it. Remind you of T.I.'s "Whatever You Like?" Yep, me, too. I like the track and so do many hip-hop enthusiasts. "Pachanga" is one of the album's finest moments. He delivers the song nicely, the lyrics are spoken from a realist perspective and I dig the hook. "Imma Do It" and "Lullaby" are all right tracks on this compilation, but there is nothing special about the songs. Fabolous is at his best on "The Fabolous Life", which features Ryan Leslie, another talent who helped with producing this album. In this song, he is paying much homage to the 90s show, "In Living Color." It's one of his most creative tracks to date.
All in all, I must say that this is an enjoyable piece of work. Fabolous isn't a shooting star on every song, but when he's at his best, wow, not many can compare to him. I like Loso's way and always have.
