if your taste lies in the Stevie Ray, Kenny Wayne etc. vein then do not hesitate. Great great guitar work here. Really good production. If you have heard him b4 or if you haven't just buy this. Personally I can't take disc one out of my player.

Joe Bonamassa shows us why he's considered among the best young performers out there today. His versatility and style are second to none. He's made "Sloe Gin" a classic. "Asking Around for You", & "One of These Days" contain wonderful lyrics, and smokin' riffs.

One thing's for sure: This man can fly.
This guy was born as a prodigy, playing with the group Bloodline (Freddy Krueger's song, Miles Davis' son, Berry Oakley's son, et al) at the age of 16. The only other guitarist who showed such prowess at this age was Derek Trucks. Bonamassa is definitely a legend. He can play. Oh boy, can he play.

If I had to pick a favorite, I'd go with "India-Mountain Time." Outrageously good.

I have to say. this album is amazing . this is his first album that i heard and it's a great album for someone who new with Joe.

This album does the best job so far of capturing the experience of seeing Joe live. "Woke up Dreaming" is my favorite track because it captures the amazing energy Joe puts into his live performances. I didn't like the song "Sloe Gin" on the Sole Gin album -- it seemed saccharin to me. When I saw Joe perform it live it seemed more heartfelt, and I liked it much more. The version of "Sloe Gin" on this album is like what I saw live, and it's one of the best songs on this album. Overall this is a fantastic album -- Joe at his best. If you can't see Joe live, this is the next best thing.
