Like It, Love It, Need It. Jun 15, 2007 Solid date from the DMB covering a lot of their newer material (at the time). I enjoy this album very much and I am a fan of the "Everyday" album. The ladies backing Dave up on some of the songs add a really cool vibe that is different from any other live DMB effort that I know of. Look for them on "Angel," "Everyday" and a great version of "Stay (Wasting Time)." Other stand outs are "Crash Into Me," "Two Step" and "All Along The Watchtower" not just because their DMB staples, but because I think you'd be hard pressed to find better versions of these songs. I also think LeRoi(Saxophones) plays particularly well on this recording. A great addition to any DMB fans collection.
Hey it might not matter to most of you, but this bugged me and I thought I'd set the record straight. S. Grgas "thelittlecroat" wrote a review and in it he wrote -
""All Along the Watchtower" Another version of this Dylan classic? Yes, but this time it doesnt close the show. A little different placement in the setlist is nice and Dave hits a electric guitar solo in this version! Almost worth the price of admission alone"
As a guitarist and a Dave fan I thought I would point out that Dave didn't play an electric guitar solo, he was clearly on acoustic during this song and the keyboardist used a distorted electric guitar sound for his solo. So sorry if you couldn't care less, and you're welcome to those who found this helpful.

Dave Matthews Live: Everyday Jul 20, 2006 For any band, artist and group, there is a 50/50 chance that they may sound either good or bad when performing live. Some artists, like Madonna, sound terrible live, but great in the studio. Dave Matthews sounds awesome in either situation.
On a roll with a multitude of live CDs under his belt already, Dave decides that on this adventure most of the tracks will be taken from his somewhat recent CD, Everyday. Now depending on how much you actually like this CD will have a baring on what you will think of this Live version.
Having said all this, Dave also has is usual favorite songs sung on this Live cd as well to attend to his fan base audience. So you need not worry about that.
All in all I really enjoyed this Live CD. I thought only one track, I Did It, felt rather flat and Dave's voice almost sounded almost scary! But all the rest sounded great!
Anyways, give this CD a try, again only if you were a big "Everyday" fan. If not, you may want to pass on to the others Live Cds under the Dave Matthews collection.

Not as good as Central Park, but worth the money May 27, 2006 I have this as well as The Central Park Concert, and I must say, if you want a sampling of some of DMB's better-known songs and/or a more "greatest hits" type of album, get that CD. But if you already know most of their songs and want more, get this. Here is an overview of the tracks:
1-DON'T DRINK THE WATER- It's hard to say whether this is better than the Central Park version, but overall, a good song any way you play it. My main problem is that this still has a long, unnecessary intro-- oh well. 10/10
2-JTR- Poor little JTR, on Lillywhite but didn't make Busted Stuff. It's a good song, and great live, but doesn't fit on Busted Stuff. I can see why they didn't put it on that album. 9/10
3-WHEN THE WORLD ENDS- Great hip-hop style drumming and good lyrics. Great song. Again, not sure which version is best. 9/10
4-SO RIGHT- Dave plays electric on this one, which is different for him. Speaking of which, I love the guitar riff at the beginning. 10/10
5-BIG EYED FISH- [GASP!] Dave said the f-word!!! The big problem with Ctrl. Park is that it doesn't have the Big Eyed Fish/Bartender duo, which, in my opinion, is the best DMB song. 10/10
6-BARTENDER- Like I said, best DMB song, especially with an excellent live version. Not the best song on this show's setlist, though (we'll get to that later). 15/10
7-WHAT YOU ARE- The Ctrl. Pk. version of this is really weird at the beginning, and this one is ten times better. This version makes it a really good song. 10/10
8-CRASH INTO ME- DMB's most successful single is wonderful live. 10/10
9-EVERYDAY- Check out the video of this song-- I love it. A nice, happy song, almost (ALMOST!!) hippie. I love the vocals at the beginning with the `lovely ladies' helping out. 10/10
10-I DID IT- Well, we didn't get to the best song on this album yet, but this is the worst. Waaaaaay too fast and catchy for this setlist. Doesn't fit in AT ALL. Ick. 2/10
11-IF I HAD IT ALL- Mediocre, but better than "I Did It" (fortunately). 7/10
12-ANGEL- Ah, here we are. The only "monster track" on this CD is also the best one. This single track is worth the price of the whole CD. A wonderful sax solo followed by excellent guitar and lyrics, then a long, gospel solo by the lovely ladies. It's got a great message, and cool chord progressions at about 2:20. Perfection. 10000000/10
13-WAREHOUSE- This is a great song (I don't mean to sound redundant, but what else can be said about DMB?). I love the samba thing in the middle (and various other places in the song). Could be shorter, but it's well-equipped at 9:25 mins. 10/10
14-RECENTLY- Great lyrics, but that's the only strong point of this song. 8/10
15-DIGGING A DITCH- Not as good as the studio version, but it would be better if they had played it more live before this. 8/10
16-WHAT WOULD YOU SAY- I like the guitar lick, but the Ctrl. Pk. version is better (and longer). 8/10
17-ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER- I really loved this version of this song when I heard it for the first time on Central Pk., and this version is not nearly as good, but it's still superb. 10/10
18-THE SPACE BETWEEN- Good guitar, but not great. 8/10
19-STAY (WASTING TIME)- This is one of my favorites because of the funky sax lick in the middle. It's probably the third best on the CD after "Angel" and "Big Eyed Fish/Bartender." Love it. 11/10
20-TWO STEP- This is probably the best live version of this song that I've heard. Not too long, but there's still time to jam in this 9:18 version. 10/10
21-ANTS MARCHING- One of DMB's many signature songs, which is great, but the Central Pk. version is way better. A great closer, though. 10/10
I like Central Park better than this, but I also love the Big Eyed Fish/Bartender twins, so I guess this one is really close behind. Even though Bartender is great, the real reason this concert is so good is "Angel." Great CD. Buy it!!

Unreal Nov 20, 2005 By far the best Dave Matthews Band CD. Recorded at a great venue for their music. All the songs on this CD were great with excellent energy. You can definately feel the energy of the crowd in this CD. Excellent renditions of 'Warehouse' 'Crash Into Me' and 'Angel' are followed by the excellent energy of 'Two Step' 'All Along the Watchtower' and 'Ants Marching.' Live at Folsom Field is a must have for any Dave Matthews Band fan and serves as a great example of their music for new listeners.
