Fun, Upbeat, & Interesting Jan 06, 2010 Sara's voice doesn't have that thirteen year-old pop sound that has been adopted in all genres of music. I appreciate that her voice sounds young and mature, and that the entire CD has an upbeat feel to it. This is a CD one can listen to several times over before needing to move onto the next album.
Great CD Dec 28, 2009 I ordered the CD for one song, but there are 8 great songs on this CD that are just so easy to listen to.

A new style but what is it? Dec 02, 2009 I like this CD but I've love Norah Jones voice since I first had it. She changes styles with every CD but she has always been fun and showcased her voice. This CD is unusually bland for her and overproduced.
I really liked her early CD's which were more raw and exposed her soul which whe really was too young to have.
I believe in her potential but this CD is weak.

Almost fell asleep... Nov 28, 2009 This is a great CD to play when you wanna switch it up every now and then, A "Getaway record" to escape what "may" dominate your music collection and/or that commerical sound you get exhausted of hearing on the radio. Therefore i'd only play this album occasionally. It's pure elevator music, You may doze off in the middle of one of her songs if you're not into this sound, I "would" call it bland but that would be selfish. Let's just say that your "average" person wouldn't play this CD more than once if it were given to them as a gift and they most likely will forget they ever received it. The next time they'll ever lay eyes on this CD again will be the same day they're shifting through old boxes and cleaning out the garage if they haven't left it somewhere by mistake.
CHANTAL KREVIAZUK:
Sara Bareilles is not a bad singer, her voice is pure and rich. she's also talented, She writes her own music which is terrific but... I'm... bored... Her voice and songs sounds too close to many other female artists, mainly (Chantal Kreviazuk). She sounds completely identical on 93% of "Little Voice". I wonder what Chantal would think of this album if she'd ever gotten around to hearing it.
"One Sweet Love" "City" and "Between The Lines" are the most memorable for me. Again, To call her music bland or distasteful would be unfair. Especially in times like these where many artist are not creative or poetic and are just releasing trash and happen to still get paid for what they do. So I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. I'm just not so into her like I thought I might've been. (3) Stars are too much and (1) is misleading so (2) works.
ELEVATOR MUSIC:
Grocery stores, Dentist office, Hotel lobby, Drug store, etc. It's EXACTLY what this is. If you've been to any of these general places (which more than likely you have) you know just what this sounds like.
TRANSCENDENT & INSPIRATIONAL Nov 27, 2009 Since purchasing Little Voice a month ago, I have played it almost every single day. I am a lover/collector of many genres of music but it is rare in fact I don't think I have ever bought the first cd of an artist and I love EVERY SINGLE SONG on the cd. I cannot get enough of her musicality in both lyrics and arrangements, and I appreciate her including song lyrics because it takes it to another level for me as I resonate with so many of them. She delivers right through in every way, nothing is overdone.
This cd is a lifetime treasure!
