Billy Currington's third album, Little Bit of Everything, will be released on Oct. 14 by Mercury Nashville. Currington co-produced the album with Carson Chamberlain and co-wrote five of the 12 songs.

"People kept asking what kind of music they'd hear on this next album, whether it was going to be R&B, pop, country or rock, and I seemed to keep saying the same thing," said Currington. "It's going to be a little bit of everything, I guess." Currington has topped the country singles chart with "Good Directions" and "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right."

I love the "fun" in this CD. I bought the CD knowing only the song "People Are Crazy" after seeing Billy Currington perform it on an awards show. The songs "Swimmin' in Sunshine" and "Everything" put a bounce in my step and a smile on my face. The songs "Don't," "Walk On," and "Heal Me" have slow, thoughtful lyrics that complement the lively songs that are my favorites. "That's How Country Boys Roll" has a little Lynyrd Skynyrd flavor to it, while "I Shall Return" reminds me of Jimmy Buffett's songs. However, the sound is uniquely Billy Currington. I look forward to more music from this artist.

I saw Billy Currington in concert a few years ago, on a bill with Jason Aldean. The crowd seemed to like Jason better, and I could not see why. Billy has a great voice, excellent delivery, and very good stage presence. After hearing this album, I am more convinced that Billy Currington is one of the best country singers working today. This is a great album. All of the songs are winners.

overall, I found the voice not that good, the music rather boring, all kind of the same thing... I think it's a matter of taste, but even fans would find this boring in short order I think...
