Diva Dionne! Sep 04, 2009 Initially I wasn't sure whether or not this compilation was going to be something that I would play all the way through, but boy was I wrong. This collection has 3 cds with Dionne's major and minor hits with Arista. There are a lot on great songs on this collection, and way too many to review one by one. I will metion some of my favorites: "I'll Never Love This Way Again" (#5 US Hot 100, #18 U.S. R&B, #5 U.S. Adult Contempoary), "After You," "No Night So Long"(#23 U.S. Hot 100, #19 U.S. R&B, #1 U.S. Contemporary), "Some Changes Are For Good," "Now We're Starting All Over Again," "Dedicate This Heart," "Even A Fool Would Let Go," and "There's A Long Road Ahead of Us," and this is only on the first CD of the collection.
The second CD has a few duets such as the outstanding "How Many Times Must We Say Goodbye" with Luther Vandross(#27 U.S. Hot 100, #7 U.S. R&B, #4 U.S. Adult Contemporary), the unforgettable "It's You" with Stevie Wonder, the catchy "Finder's of Lost Loves" with Glenn Jones, anf the formidable "Run To Me" with Barry Manilow, all of which in my opinion are great songs that highlights Dionne's versatility, power and range. Some other great songs, as well as my favorites, on CD2 include: "Heartbreaker" (#10 U.S. Yop 100, #14 U.S. R&B, #1 U.S. Adult Contemporary), "All The Love In The World" (#16 U.S. Adult Contemporary), "Yours," "Got A Date," "So Amazing," "What Can a Miracle Do," "Without Your Love," "No One In The World," and "You Made Me Want To Love Again."
The third CD includes more duets and songs she recorded into the 90's. It opens with the #1 hit (U.S. Hot 100, U.S. R&B, U.S. Adult Contemposrary) "That's What Friends Are For." "Whisper in The Dark," "Stay Devoted," "Stronger Than Before" and "Friends Can Be Lovers" are among some of my other favorites. "Love Power" with Jeffery Osborne peaked at #12 on U.S. Hot 100, #5 U.S. R&B, #1 U.S. Adult Contemporary) is a great song, along with "Reservations For Two" with Kashif. "Another Chance To Love" with Howard Hewett is also a terrific song that highlights both their voices well, as does the duet with June Pointer ("Heartbreak Of Love"). I almost slept on "Take Care Of You And Me" her second duet with Jeffery Osborne, which is dynamite.
This is a great collectionm and all the songs are fantastic. I have mentioned some of my favorites, however, there maybe others in the collection that may be to your liking; there's so much to choose from. Most people think of Dionne warwick and the work she did in the 60's and 70's, but she recorded a lot of material in the 80's and 90's and as you listen to the CD you will begin to realize the amount of material this incredible singer has recorded.
If you are a Dionne Warwick fan and enjoy listening to great contemporary, easy listening, R&B music, then this is the CD collection for you!! Unfortunately it doesn't come with extensive liner notes, but once you start listening to this wonderful collection, it will bring back so many memories of good times and good music.
This is So Good! So Amazing! Jun 19, 2009 This is an amazing package full of great songs from Dionne Warwick's Arista years. The sound is superb. I have to disagree with the one-star review someone gave this collection because, as many of us know, this is the only place to get tracks that have simply been out-of-print (OOP) for too long. It's virtually impossible to get a copy (on CD) of the "How Many Times Can We Say Goodbye" & "Finder Of Lost Loves" albums. Plus, there are many tracks from "No Night So Long" which never really got a wide CD release (except perhaps in Japan and other places overseas).
Dionne Warwick has such a rich, warm & distinctive voice and I enjoy these as well as her 60's and 70's recordings. She rightfully deserves a "Legends" release! 5 Stars!!!
Good Review Apr 21, 2009 The collection is a good review of Dionne Warwicks' recordings done for Arista records. In the absence of most of the original albums on CD, the collection is worth buying.

Almost a perfect compilation from the Legend Jan 09, 2007 All the hits are there. At least, probably, 99% of the songs you'd like to have or listening to from Dionne can be found on this compilation. Oops! I couldn't find "Always Something There To Remind Me", though!
