"I Did Say Ozzy" Aug 13, 2009 When his record company came to him with this E.P idea Ozzy didn't want to hear any of it, it didn't feel right to him. The idea was to release a live E.P. from his last tour supporting the No Rest For The Wicked album (that would be 1989). It would feature some Black Sabbath material as well on it. Ozzy was against it but when he heard the tapes he changed his mind and taught that they sounded great and gave his approval. In 1990 It was released as "Just Say Ozzy" in 1990; it included three songs from his previous album, one from The Ultimate Sin and two from his Black Sabbath days. After all if Ozzy approved it, it meant it would be good, right?
Along with The Ultimate Sin it was deleted from the Ozzy catalogue, it was released on tape first, and then it was released again in 1995 along with the other album remasters. After the court issues in 2001 for unpaid royalties, remasters were once again issued this time he did not include The Ultimate Sin and Just Say Ozzy so the only to get it is either in the cassettes format or as part of a leftover from the '95 remasters. I have to say it's worth it; it's very much worth searching for. I didn't think much of it until I actually bought it and listened to it, I was surprised at how great it sounds. The crowd is clearly present and hearing them just adds so much to the performance of the song, "Shot In The Dark" being the prime example of this.
Miracle Man opens the E.P. and quickly gets you into the show; I was blown away at how good it sounded when I first listened to it. This song sounds great live. Bloodbath In Paradise follows and is very good, It was great to hear the beginning being kind of like the studio version. Tattooed Dancer is pretty solid, but the show stealer is of course Shot In The Dark, Castillo does some great hi-hats stuff and the drumming is intense, Zakk is amazing and Ozzy gives one his best performances (he's very proud of the song's live version and to him it's the definitive version of the song, and I would have to agree with him on that). The Black Sabbath songs are really good, there's not much to say, the whole E.P. is pretty good.
Don't judge it wrong or worthless because it's an E.P. and it only has six songs, it might be an E.P. but it's a very good one! The songs sound all really good with the band delivering a great performance, Ozzy interacting with crowd, and the crowd participating heavily. It even has Geezer Butler on bass! It's great to have the two back again, they hadn't played togheter since the two were in Black Sabbath. It's just too bad it didn't contain more song and was not released as a full live album, but I guess it was too much to ask at the time. It's good at what it is and is a good purchase.
A Short Trip Through Madness May 08, 2009 "Just Say Ozzy" is an excellent glimpse into Ozzy's live shows in the late 80's. Featuring Zakk Wylde, Randy Castillo and Geezer Butler, this EP contains a blend of six Ozzy originals and Black Sabbath classics.
The album opens with "Miracle Man" and then makes its way into a "Bloodbath In Paradise." Next is the song that, at least in its "Ultimate Sin" form, Ozzy hates. "Shot In The Dark" sounds great here, and I prefer this version to the "Sin" version.
The next two songs are my personal favorites on this album. "Tattooed Dancer" and "Sweet Leaf" are excellent here. I've always loved "Sweet Leaf," and I really love it on this album.
Closing the EP is the Sabbath classic, "War Pigs." It sounds wonderful.
Granted, this EP is very short, but for quick trips or just a brief moment to rock out a bit, "Just Say Ozzy" is the perfect cure for what ails ya.
Highly recommended.
Mini Live Cd Apr 28, 2009 I found this Ozzy live CD at my local Malmart for a measly 5 bucks. The sund quality is o.k, but when i saw Ozzy live it was much more aggresive than it is here. A weak track selection omnly makes this good for those wanting to quit. heavy metal is addicting and promotes satanism and foul language. Whether Ozzy is a satanist or not is debatable- he's not telling anyone. with his TV show over, his fame abd life are just waiting for the big goodbye when Ozzy isn't here to make metal cool again. This is probably the weakest Ozzy album available to the general public, but not bad for 5 bucks.

Great Live E.P Oct 29, 2005 This is Ozzy's final release as a "hair band" after The Ultimate Sin and No Rest For The Wicked. This of course isn't a studio album but Ozzy's band still had the big hair and what not. Anyway here's my review
1.Miracle Man- 10/10 A great fast paced concert opener. Ozzy's vocals here sound better than the studio recording! A great catchy song with an awesome chorus. Zakk's pinch harmonics are awesome. Zakk's solo is just as good as the studio version. The solo is great as Zakk shreds away but it sounds exactly like the studio version. Overall better than the studio version.
2.Bloodbath in Paradise- 10/10 Great scary intro that leads into one of Zakk's best riffs ever. Ozzy's vocals are awesome and the lyrics are great. The lyrics are about the Manson family murders. Another catchy chorus. Zakk has an awesome agressive fill in! Zakk's monster solo here is better and more agressive than the studio version! Zakk throws in another great fill in right after the solo. Zakk's tone is awesome too! Once again better than the studio version.
3.Shot in the Dark- 10/10 Great harmonic intro. Zakk's tone is awesome and his pinch harmonics great aswell. Zakk plays the solo great although not as good as Jake originally did. Ozzy's vocals are flawless as well and Zakk gets a second solo as did Jake during The Ultimate Sin tour. Zakk's second solo is better than the first as Zakk shreds away fast and furiously.
4.Tattooed Dancer- 10/10 Another great fast song with some awesome an awesome guitar riff and some awesome pinch harmonics. Zakk's fills in are great once again. Ozzy's vocals sound better here than the studio version. An agressive hair metal song here.
5.Sweet Leaf- 10/10 A great version of this Sabbath classic that's as good as the original. Ozzy's vocals are as good as the original and Zakk's pinch harmonics work great. I personally Zakk's shredding here is great and Randy Castillo's drumming is amazing
6.War Pigs- 10/10 Another live Sabbath song that is as good as the original. Zakk's solo is great too especially the second one which Zakk shreds away on. Ozzy's vocals are perfect once again.
This is a great live E.P if you want a half hour to kill than listen to this straight through it's an awesome E.P The band is
Ozzy Osbourne- Vocals
Zakk Wylde- Guitar
Randy Castillo- Drums
Geezer Butler- Bass

Highly underrated Oct 01, 2005 For whatever reason, this live album released in 1990 isn't all too popular with the fans. Why? I couldn't honestly tell you. Every single song on here is solid. Not to mention that the version of "Shot In The Dark" found here completely blows away the studio version. With 3 tracks off "No Rest For The Wicked", a kick ass recording of "Shot In The Dark", with a couple of classic Sabbath tunes thrown in for good measure, how could anyone complain? To top it all off, the remastering found here is absolutely splendid. This disc will definitely give your speakers a workout. Unfortunately, as we all know, Ozzy dislikes "Shot In The Dark", so this album was not amongst the 2002 reissues. So, by all means, if you happen to see this album anywhere, pick it up. It may be your only chance.
Recommended.
