Bell and Bernstein! May 02, 2010 I'm partial to West Side Story, so when I saw this, I had to get it. I loved the suite as well as the track from "Candide" which always gives me chills.
Sizzling Arrangement Apr 09, 2009 Joshua Bell is up to his usual seemingly casually executed double-stops and blistering scales, but what makes this CD special is William David Brohn's loving arrangement, "West Side Story Suite." I'll depart slightly from the other glowing reviews to say that there are a few less than compelling passages in this "suite," but the rest of it sparkles so brightly you'll hardly notice.

two is too many Mar 20, 2009 the product is fine but Amazon is not - one CD was ordered, two were sent and charged to me. Also, the charge was to my 7 year old grandson on your invoice. I don't know how else to tell you this - no form from you is available to right the wrong!
Highly enjoyable May 12, 2008 Just for getting this performance of the West Side Story Suite this CD is well worth it.
Absolutely Thrilling Dec 04, 2007 These pieces are really concertos for violin and orchestra, based on works by Leonard Bernstein: The lengthy "West Side Story Suite," selections from his musical "On the Town," "Candide," and "Plato's Symposium." Joshua Bell's playing is lucid, effortless, and spectacular.
