Dionne's Last Stand May 04, 2004 As the only member of Arrested Development to find any measure of success outside the group, Dionne Farris whipped out a hard-hitting debut single that everyone and their mother has heard. It seemed OK in the mid-90s for black female artists to experiment with a harder-edged rock (as in Janet Jackson's "If" and En Vogue's "Free Your Mind")... unfortunately that trend has passed (those were some excellent songs), but Farris contributes a completely worthy song into that mix that became her first and only Top 10 hit. With it's chunky guitar rhythm and lyrics full of attitude, Farris was poised to be the next big thing. Unfortunately, the rest of her album wasn't nearly as accessible (2nd single "Don't Ever Touch Me" never made a dent anywhere), sound-wise, and after this song no one has heard a peep from her again. Not even a follow-up album or requisite appearance on a soundtrack. NOTHING. Which is unfortunate, because the song deserves every play on the radio it gets, and I'm sure Ms. Farris had far more up her sleeve considering the amount of talent Arrested Development, the group, had as a whole and how much she potentially influenced their direction as a member.
Good Solid Track Sep 17, 2000 Dionne Farris sound really good on this Guitar Driven Track.it's a great change of pace from the typical run of the mill formula on R&B&Pop radio.Dionne is very underrated She can Really Sing.a Good Talent that Deserves to be heard.

High energy - get pumping! Jun 25, 2000 This maxi single could earn its keep with just one song- the album version of "I Know"-- but you get more 'bang for your buck' than that, and that's why this CD is definitely worth it's weight in gold ... and then some. If you haven't heard "I Know", get it today and you will want to play that rocking, heart-thumping rhythm over and over again.
