Ann Wilson is one of the best known voices in rock, having fronted the legendary band Heart since the mid-'70s. In the '80s Heart found even greater success with monster MTV and radio hits such as "Alone" and "Never." Hope & Glory is Ann Wilson's first-ever solo album and includes guest appearances from luminaries Elton John, Deana Carter, Shawn Colvin, Alison Krauss, k.d. lang, Rufus Wainwright, Gretchen Wilson, Nancy Wilson, and Wynonna on a variety of classic covers selected for their insight into important current social issues, including Elton John's "Where to Now St. Peter?," Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song," and Neil Young's "War of Man." Ann Wilson can still belt it out after all these years. This might as well be a Heart album. The style is pretty much the same. I've always wanted to hear the Wilson sisters do more covers and the inclusion of a Pink Floyd cover was just awesome - Ann Wilson really gets the whole feel of Goodbye Blue Sky right. If you're a Heart / Wilson Sisters fan, you will definitely enjoy this recording.

If you're a Heart fan or an Ann Wilson fan, this cd is for you. The songs are old favorites from past hippie years, but with a new twist. I keep this cd near me for I love it.

If you are a fan of Ann Wilson you will NOT be dissappointed in this CD. I've always loved her music, and enjoyed her "covers" that she did in concert. This CD is an excellent complement to her work with Heart.

its hard for me to say, some of these songs are as good if not better then the originals, pink floyd, led zep, dylan, both youngs, my heros. it is almost blasphemey for me to type this, but she is rockin' and every bit as talented as any of the originals are. I love all the different synths. and strings. very tasty, Ann if you are reading this, Thanks. do it again. please. everyone should get at least one. peace
