Give it a listen Aug 29, 2008 You don't have to be a hillbilly to like this album. These guys will definetly go down as one of the greatest duo's in music history. They write great country music. This album is another example of it.
Hillbilly Delux by Brooks and Dunn Apr 18, 2008 Brooks and Dunn do great work. Listen to this in my car. Well produced.
I believe Nov 29, 2007 I love the song I believe, but I feel it is the only song on the album worth listening to. In all honesty I am not a big fan of Brooks and Dunn so others may enjoy the entire album.
Hillbilly's have more fun! Nov 24, 2007 This is Brooks and Dunn's finest work yet. There title song is a classic, that you'll love in the video too.
I hope they keep making nusic for another 20 years!
Hillbillly Deluxe Nov 15, 2007 Country music is not what I normally listen to. I borrowed a copy from my dad so I could listen to it. Why? The hit "Play Something Country" had really impressed me. Here were some country boys who ROCKED! Once I had listened to the cd I was very impressed, I bought it. Hillbilly Deluxe was their tenth studio album & went to #3 on the Billboard 200 chart, Billboard's main chart. This is an incredible testimony to the crossover appeal Brooks & Dunn, country music's most decorated duo. The album was a #1 album on the Country Album charts. There were four charting singles from the album: "Believe" (#8 Hot Country Singles, #60 Billboard Hot 100 & #95 Pop 100), "Play Something Country" (#1 Hot Country Singles, #53 Pop 100 & #37 Billboard Hot 100), "Building Bridges" (#4 Hot Country Singles & #66 Billboard Hot 100) & "Hillbilly Deluxe" (# 16 Hot Country Singles).
Hillbilly Deluxe doesn't have a single weak song on it. My instincts tell me to call this an essential album but I don't follow country music very much so that sort of disqualifies me. I know I thoroughly enjoy this album & for an old rock & roller like me, that's high praise, indeed.
