Have Guitar, Will Travel cd review Nov 16, 2009 This is another good cd put out by Joe Perry. The last one was very good and this is even better. Any Joe Perry fan should add this to their collection.
Have Guitar, Will Travel Nov 16, 2009 Joe Perry is one of the greatest guitarists and this album shows off his talent. If you like a bluesy style, this is the one for you to buy!
Loving every track! Nov 09, 2009 I was really excited to finally get this album after seeing Aerosmith over the summer in Mansfield! Joe Perry has always been my fav and has never disappointed with his solo/Project work. I had heard the first single "We've Got A Long Way To Go" when Joe was going to all the radio stations and playing it, but I hadn't heard any of the other songs. I finally popped the album into my CD player and was blown away! This album is pure raunchy blues rock like Joe has been making for decades. The cover of "Somebody's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In" does Fleetwood Mac great justice, and Wooden Ships just knocked me out. The album also gets a little softer with "Do You Wonder" as Hagen shows off his pipes while letting Joe do what he does best.. shred up and down the guitar! Every track is artwork and the album is certainly worth the listen!
rock n roll icon Nov 08, 2009 guitar legend joe perry, has deliverd another amazing rock album. the combination of lyrics and great riffs makes this latest effort a must have. with a new lead singer and joe's own uniuqe voice it's the perfect album to crank up the volume and sing along to. i liked the album after only one time through! joe's song writing and singing skills have grown tremendously since his debut solo album from the early eighties. i highly recomend this album. it's not just for aerosmith fans!
Joe Perry Does It Again! Nov 04, 2009 The combination of Hagen's vocals and Joe Perry's dexterous guitar playing creates a sound reminiscent of the glory days of Aerosmith, and the classic Joe Perry sonority that still lingers in our ears today. The single off of "Have Guitar, Will Travel" is the song, "We've Got A Long Way To Go". The title of the track isn't speaking directly to the blossoming career of the project, but more to their overall take on humanity as a whole. In a world full of violence, starvation, and hatred toward others, "Have Guitar, Will Travel" makes a commentary toward, and provides a respite from, the evils that are so prominent in our society.
Go get yourself a copy! You wont regret it!
