THIRD REVIEW ON THIS ONE I THINK I GOT IT RIGHT THIS TIME Apr 26, 2009
What can I say? EXTROARDINARY! EXTROARDINARY! This cd just keeps growing on me. Phil vassar just nails the remake songs. He's better than JoDee Messina by a long shot. The accompaniments are awesome. They are more full sounding than the originals. I listened to Tim McGraw's "A Little While." It is dull in comparison to this remake.
I love the energy and vocal strength and piano energy that Phil brings to this music. It's simply well done! You can tell he is really into what he is singing. The instruments are brought to full life. I appreciate how he can rock out and still keep it in pefect rhythmn and control.
I never really liked "Bye Bye" and "I'm Alright." I sure do now. These songs are brought to full life with Phil's voice and instrumentation.
I think the only song that I don't care for is "I'll Take That As A Yes." I wish "This Is God" was on this album. Oh well! can't have it all.
Overall a great album and a must buy for anyone who appreciates real music.

Love it! Love it! Love it!!. Had it. Relative "borrowed it" and never gave it back. Bought new one and haven't told anyone that I have it. The music and lyrics are great. You can't help, but sing and dance or, at least, tap your toes.

Phil is amazing, and I recomend this CD to anybody that's a fan of country music!

I had heard a lot of these somgs performed before by different artists, and didnt realize that Phil Vassar wrote them. He sings these tunes great himself. I think that Phil is a fantastic song writer, his songs make sense and have a meaning and purpose. I have only listened to this cd of Phils but I am now a fan, as good of a performer as he is, he is an even better song writer. Great cd, for any Phil Vassar fan, or country fan in general I feel as if this is a must have.

It's got all my favorite Phil Vassar songs that I never knew he sung. Its great. The only disappointment is that the arrangements are a little different than what you hear on the radio.
