Feel Uplifted & Energized! Sep 26, 2009
This is an excellent up-tempo 2 track U.K CD single with the song "Gotta Work" backed by the remix. This is from Amerie's fabulous highly paced album titled, Because I Love It. It's a dance friendly sensational style definitely upbeat and fast.
While the album regular version is off the charts great, the charm is in the "Gotta Work Remix" for fans of Caribbean blends, hip-hop flavors and funk all blended together. The Album Version is fabulous in uplifting, highly energetic beats along Amerie's beautiful listener-friendly singing. The musical writing is also very well produced thus making it even more enjoyable!
"Gotta Work Remix" featuring Collie Buddz has great beats with interjections by the featured artist marking the soul tremendously! Amerie brings to the spotlight lyrical writing that has much growth as you got to work hard to achieve your goals, dreams, or objectives. Collie Buddz has an excellent charismatic collaboration very reminiscent of the extra hidden track on Amerie's double disc album Because I Love It.
Overall, fans of Amerie will have a cheerful, uplifting, dance blend with hip-hop flavors to enjoy! This is a great selection and definitely dance friendly. While not quite disco style, or heavy synthesizer or techno trance it manages to definitely boost the moods to feel in the mood to party, dance, or just feel great to take on anything!
