Super! May 11, 2009 I love this uplifting disc! I am a fan of the old country greats and don't know too much about bluegrass but this disc is a toe-tapping favorite already. The sound is very clean and clear. If you're not familiar with southern accents it may take a couple listens to catch the words but it is definitely worthwhile. Buy it now and enjoy!

Inspirational Apr 07, 2009 Each selection touched my heart, especially "The Model Church". Truly, old time bluegrass gospel.

Great Gospel tunes Jan 22, 2009 Gave this Gloryland Bluegrass Gospel CD to my pastor friend. He and his wife LOVED it and are still love'n it! Loads of tunes (on 2 discs) from the past keep smiles on everyone's face.

What a way to start... Aug 31, 2008 ...my gospel bluegrass collection. I just started getting into bluegrass recently and fell in love with this CD when I checked it out at my library.
My mom has always been a fan and it really took her back to her younger days as we drove around listening to it in my car. I think she would have clogged to some of the songs if I would have just pulled over. LOL
Right from the beginning when "Somebody Touched Me" came on I knew I had to own this CD. I couldn't wait to come over here and buy it for myself.

An easily great collection of Rebel gospel but May 19, 2006 Pulling from the rich catalog of Rebel Records bluegrass gospel, this set has no problem being fabulous traditional bluegrass. Two Forbes Family cuts here are reissued on CD for the first time, but one of them is mislabelled. The sixth listed cut on the first CD is actually "Jesus Redeems Us," not "Blessed Assurance." Both songs are on the 1986 Forbes Family release Outside the Gate. CD 2's "Talk about Suffering" from the Forbes' I'm Just a Pilgrim gives some hint about what this sad substitution costs listeners. But it's only a hint. With the amazing lead of Lisa Forbes, "Blessed Assurance" is just about the most gorgeous, most moving harmony ever recorded. "Blessed Assurance" was long due for CD reissue. Sadly, thanks to a Time-Life error, that acapella wonder will have to wait a while.
