The Best CD of 2008 now comes w/ AMAZING Extras! Nov 04, 2009 I've already reviewed this CD-- It's the the BEST CD of 2008...Now We are offered a Deluxe Version that includes Videos of all of the singles (Except the Original version of "Paris") so far, remixes, unreleased tracks and best of all-- A full concert DVD! Can't wait to actually see them live...but this DVD showcases how talented & charismatic this trio is! Most fun concert film since since the Duran Duran 82' Hammersmith show..

Mediocre Oct 17, 2009 The same groove and tempo for each song isn't going to cut it.. This album is highly forgettable aside from two songs.
A Scissor Sisters that is not shameful to admit Sep 25, 2009 I was very pissed off that the main single "Kiss of Love" is only on the deluxe edition, but a few weeks later I simmered down to see this is a nice album of a sort of Elton John inspired funky pop for serious hipsters who decide the music to be played on Gossip Girl. But I'm not throwing it away just for being good indie pop. It works. I jam to it.

The Best UK Group in a long long time. Sep 04, 2009 I discovered Friendly Fires when iTunes showcased the video for Skeleton Boy for free. I figured it's free, I'll try it. Sure enough, four months later, I am loving this CD. So much that before I purchased it, I did some research and found out that a CD/DVD version was coming out complete a full length concert and music videos.
Besides the great songs and great melodies and awesome lyrics, I love this CD because EVERY SONG is a good song, and how often does that happen.
It took only a few listens before I had to deem this my CD of the summer. I am soooo happy that I discovered them, even though it was through iTunes.
The fact that they were partially inspired by Prince shows in some of the songs, but you can tell that they definitely have a style all of their own.
I highly recommend this to pop music fans and I just pray that they appeal to everyone across the USA!!
