They did it again! Apr 12, 2010 An amazing, amazing album! The first song is infectious and when you think the songs can't get any better, they do. Definitely one of my favorite albums.
An Avett essential Apr 02, 2010 I was hesitant about buying this album but I am so glad I did. I could not imagine not having these songs in my music collection. Great album by great musicians.

Fantastic blend of elements, great recording. Mar 02, 2010 This is my favorite Avett album. They mix those rock, punk and bluegrass elements and keep everything from getting overworked. Most of all, they sound like they are having fun. I wanna have fun with them.
My favorite songs: Gimmeakiss, Talk On Indolence, Matrimony.
Always fantastic Sep 23, 2009 I love this CD, but then again the Avett Brothers have never let me down. This is another one from them that is fun to listen to, but somehow relaxing at the same time.

Avetts create their own genre... Sep 18, 2009 Unfortunately, I only recently discovered The Avett Brothers. Having said that, this album is what convinced me that they were going to be a staple in my music collection. The Avett's have, in my opinion, created their own genre of music. Whether you consider it Honky-Tonk, Bluegrass, Alt-Country, or Folk Rock, it is a feast for the ears. Their musical talents run the gambit of inventive and honest songwriting to emotion-filled vocals to clever musicianship. I could kick myself for not finding these guys a long time ago. If you are looking to start your Avett Experience, start with this album. It will facilitate a newfound respect in music.
