Jessie Baylin's album will be in your cd player for a very long time. Each time you listen to it, you discover something new you like about it. It's soulful, heartfelt, catchy, mellow, exciting and genuine. A brilliant album from a truly lovely woman.

After listening to a few samples on the internet I bought her album and I'm glad I did. I'll confess that the first couple of times I heard it I thought it was only average. However,it really grows on you!! Now after hearing it several times I think it's excellent and I wouldn't want to do without it.

Jessie Baylin has a pleasant enough voice, but she verges a little too close to country and is a little bland for my taste. I like contemporary folk music, love Joni Mitchell, Nanci Griffith, Joan Baez, Dar Williams, but they all seem to have an oomph or pizazz that Baylin lacks. The arrangements are nice; her voice is nice; the songs are nice; it's all very nice, but very ho-hum. Of the newer singer-songwriters coming out, I prefer Sara Bareilles, KT Tunstall, and Kate Walsh.
