5Rebeldia adolecente  Mar 11, 2006

Bombon (4/5): De tempo rapido, ritmo electronico y letra medio tonta.

Excelente cancion.

Media naranja (4/5): De ritmo medio pop/dance, tempo medio rapido y letra medio tonta (tu mi media salchicha ;) jejeje).

Tirando a matar (4/5): De ritmo dance y tempo rapido. Letra tonta y adolecente.

5When was the last time music made you cry?   Jun 06, 2005
I'm blown away by this CD. They don't really make bubblegum pop anymore. I didn't start listening to music until I was 17. Yes, that late. I always hated, hated, hated the sound of rock, especially classic rock. Their scratchy, noisy, screamy voices and nonsensical guitar soloing just hurts the ears beyond compare. I tried for years to make myself like it, but it just didn't happen. The first music to catch my ear was Asian pop. It was thumping technoish music, and my heart pounded from start to finish with bliss. But that music has since went more towards rap and R & B, and again I was left without a music I could call my own. The pop sound- that's what I'm looking for. The smacking beat and bright, upbeat, ultra-catchy melody is what I call real music. I heard a lot of Latin artists like Paulina (another one of my favorites), but not all of her music is pure pop. Some of it sounds traditional, with a lot of trumpets. That's where Fey comes in. Interestingly, Amazon references her with other Latin artists, such as Paulina. This is pure pop. I can't really give a favorite, since all of these are just awesome and entrancing, and when music is this awesome, the ballads are amazing, too. I do like track 11 immensely. I know there's a stigma with plastic music, but remember, this type of music is ran through the computers until it's perfect AND, they enlist the help of only the most talented songwriters. These are people who do nothing but write music, these ingenious melodies. A 10 year-old CD that outdoes most stuff made today. Better late than never!

5Great Start  Feb 09, 2005
I remember the first time I heard Fey was her MEDIA NARANJA hit, but I didn't see her until her ME ENAMORO DE TI VIDEO came out. Little did I know this was going to be one of the most influencal latin artist of the 90's. This powerhouse CD, with catchy tracks like "Bombon," "La Noche Se Mueve," and "Fiebre De Sabado." You also get to hear some pop-sould with "Gatos En El Balcon" and "Bailando Bajo La Lluvia." With great a track list and remixes to follow, this is a great 90's pop music CD by a great nice young latin icon.

5Powerful debut album!  Dec 30, 2004
Fey made her debut in 1995 with her self-titled album, which spawned five radio hits (listed below with an **). That doesn't mean, however, that the rest of her album is stuffed with boring filler songs (like most of today's manufactured bands in America).

This album's style can be best described as Euro-dance like. THere are, of course, some slower tempo pop songs if you get tired of the euro stuff (though you really wont!).

1. Bonbon 5/5 - Great way to kick off the album! Moderate euro style song has cute lyrics, and good tempo. Just bothers me a little bit that she can't even TRY to say "Je t'aime" a little more correctly. It's a really good song for a non-radio hit.

2. ** Gatos en el Balcon 3/5 - Slower song, but good lyrics and catchy beat. Good radio hit.

3. ** Fiebre del Sabado 4/5 - Very bouncy, cutesy and happy. Has a pretty fast melody and it sounds a lot like a festival tune of some sort. It might take some adjusting to since it's too happy, but one you'll come to enjoy.

4. La Soledad me Mata 1/5 - Slower song. I usually skip it over but am starting to like it a little more - after 2 years. It takes quite a lot of time to adjust to this one; the melody is sometimes repetitive and annoying.

5. ** Media Naranja 5/5 - Her debut single. This (along with Azucar Amargo) is what she's always known for. Not too euro-like; more of a dance song. You won't forget this song easily.

6. **Me Enamoro de Ti 2/5 - Another dance tune. This one is very cutesy and the melody at times sounds a little childish. The chorus isn't very interesting either; it's quite dull. Still worth a listen sometimes.

7. Dos Corazones 0/5 - OK, definately a filler song. This song is slow, boring, dull and the melody sounds like it came straight out of a video game. Skip this one.

8. Tirando a Matar 5/5 - Best song on the album (in my opinion)! This one is heavily euro influenced. The lyrics are catchy and the tune makes you want to dance. It's definately a very strong non-radio hit.

9. Bailando Bajo la Lluvia 5/5 - Another best song on the album! Has a slower pop melody but the lyrics are so cute and the song is so catchy that I absolutely love it! Call me crazy but it sounds like a typical anime closing song. Also a really strong non-radio hit.

10. **La Noche se Mueve 4/5 - Much more of a club feel to it than euro or dance. It has a pretty heavy beat. Great song, except the "eh, eh" part gets a bit annoying after some time.

11. Como Pan Y Chocolate 1/5 - Slow song. Not very interesting; melody is boring, chorus is dull. I usually skip this one.

12. La Noche se Mueve (Remix) 2/5 - It's the same thing, except this one is faster and stretched out a LITTLE bit. Its a bit disappointing because it sounds awkward at this tempo. Other than that, nothing special...I wouldn't even call this a remix.

13. Media Naranja (Remix) 3/5 - At least this one was truly remixed. Given a new, faster beat, this one is much more euro than the original. My only problem is that it sounds weird during the chorus part.

14. Me Enamoro de Ti (Remix) 3/5 - Given a much BETTER dance tempo and makes the song more tolerable. The company should have released this one as the single instead...however, the lyrics and chorus are still boring.

Overall, this CD is a must-have for your collection of Dance CDs. If you own it, its not a good idea to sell it even if you have "Exitos" because the non-single releases are just as good as the radio hits! Definately worth the 11.98$ you pay for!

5TU MI COMPLEMENTO MI MEDIA NARANJA!  Aug 29, 2004
Fey never imagine that her debut album will influence more than half the population of little girls in Mexico and Central America. Coming in 1995 before Britney or any Pop Teen Idol Princess. Fey teached the girls how to dress and act. Her music had pure innocence in it. MEDIA NARANJA is a latino-classic now. Her euro-oriented pop flooded the radio waves from all Mexico-Guatemala to Panama. And that made her the top seller for cute few years til 1998 when her true age was reveal, and a different Fey emerged, and she had to battled with true teenagers girls of her cousin country Miss Spears and Aguilera. For Fey, her fate lead her to oblivion after her third album. But it's undeniable that her debut album could be found in many homes of Mid america, still ponping those infectuos beats. *****FIVE STARS, mainly for her status in POP Mexican Music Culture and her contribution to Overall sells in the World.
