At first back in 06 wouldnt had even gave the time a day to write a review because EVRYONE already knew what it was like Aug 11, 2010 Could have been alot better in some ways and yes me and fellow members in my band agreed we were a bit dissapointed back when we picked it up on 06 but it's simply because most if not all people want some kind of blast out magic killing of a tune from like something they got from the first album. There are at least 4 songs off this album that i will continue to listen to even still do at this year being 2010. It's fun to go through a few out of my 3,000 some cd's and once in awhile get on here and read reviews or even write reviews which i really outta do for alot of the bands i respect and buy albums of lately, but also Ik now as a musician myself, bands struggle sometimes to create somethnig new but something great, and yes with loss of band mates etc.. and pressure to make a stellar follow-up they probably weren't completely happy themselves with the outcome but i just know they were still positivly proud of it. One thing though, is you know more of their songs played live after the second album came out still had to been more off of the first. Agreed with overall comment with a reviwer. Gave it 3 stars just because i don't think it was written all that bad as an album, just not anything like the first which most us know is ok sometimes with certain bands, but was a little too fast for fans i think for them to go straight into the route they did with this. Maybe this would have been or should or even could had been more a 3rd album to gradually take us to this.
Excellent Feb 02, 2010 Crossfade's second album is just as good as the first one, a rarity in my opinion. This is a mostly clean sounding band with some good rocking force. Lead singer has a great voice.

You'll love it *IF* you don't expect more of the same Oct 04, 2007 I wrote this album off at first like most people have done. It sounds nothing like the first album and so I was disappointed -- at first. Then I listened to it again...and again...and again.
When I listened closely to the lyrics and let the melodies sink in then it all became so utterly addictive. The lyrics are deep-felt, kind of painful and incredibly poetic and expressive. I guarantee that if you are having a sad streak or have just broken up with someone it will absolutely ring your psychological tuning fork. The lyrics have this weird effect of making you feel rock-out powerful while wallowing in emotional misery. Very strange.
The recording and mix is full and lush, more mature, and has a more "classic" hard rock sound that will stand the test of time as opposed to their first album which had a decidedly contemporary sound.
Pick this up and *really* listen to it.

Solid Rock Music from a Solid Group Aug 09, 2007 This CD is a great follow up to Crossfade's first. They spent several years perfecting their sound and lyrics for this CD and it paid off. Their songs all have a similar sound to them, but it is an interesting blend of sound ranging from energetic to sad, dark and heavy to light. Crossfade is a solid band and their songs and lyrics are emotional. I highly recommend to anybody that likes modern rock.

Major Dissapointment Jun 07, 2007 I only liked one song and believe me I listened to the CD at least 5 times to make sure it was only the one song.
I still listen to their first CD over and over and over...No comparison. Cold is still one of my all time favorite songs.
I agree with many: What happened?
