A forgotten release that is a classic Mar 15, 2009
While most people remember Bizarre Inc. for the major hits "Playing With Knives and "I'm Gonna Get You", their debut album, "Energique" is a solid album! From the instrumentals to the vocal tracks such as "Took My Love", "Love Will Save The Day" and "Love In Motion", one gets a continuous string of high quality, well produced tracks! It sounds so fresh, one could not tell easily it was recorded in 1991. Bizarre Inc. now records until the moniker, Chicken Lips. A highly recommended album!

One of the best Electronic releases. Feb 11, 2006
This is one of the best electronic and dance albums of all time. I still play tracks off of this album from time to time just to remind me of the early nineties and how good dance music was then. Takes me back...I was only twenty years old when I first heard Playing With Knives and boy was I hooked and I just loved that track. It has those classic vocal samples like "dance while the record spins" and "just dance and move your body". It was all about raving and dancing! Not like today where everyone is so fu**ing uptight about every damn thing. Just let it loose and dance people!! Enjoy the music. Well if there is any good music.
Other great tracks off of this album include Raise Me (Ascension Mix) which is another slamming techno stormer like Playing With Knives. Just listening to this track makes you want to get up and dance. It's mostly instrumental but has the male/female vocal samples.
Dangerous Women is a breakbeat classic with the female moans and vocals. It's dark and very energetic and definitely takes you on a euphoric journey.
Energique also includes your typical pop dance tracks like Bizarre Inc's biggest hit I'm Gonna Get You which is so different than the other tracks I mentioned but still fun. When I first saw Bizarre Inc. on MTV with I'm Gonna Get You I was like "what MTV playing dance music?" that doesn't make sense I thought, but it was fun to see it on there while it lasted! What do they play now? S**t??? Oh no Real World. I thought it was mUSIC tELEVISION???? Oh well I don't watch it any. I don't need some corporation feeding me their music taste or shows or whatever the flavor of the moment is.
If you haven't heard of this album go get a copy of this CD before it's totally not available anymore as it's just amazing!

This is some of the best dance music ever. Bizarre Inc. is a really good production team, they know what good electronic/dance music is. Just listen to "Raise Me" which is a pre trance song, it is very addictive. "X-Static" is a cool techno track which keeps things going. Of course there is "I'm Gonna Get You feat. Angie Brown". That song was the largest hit from the album. It is an irresistable house influenced rave song with Angie's strong vocals. Has anyone noticed she sounds a little like Taylor Dayne? Angie Brown also graces the similarly arranged "Took My Love". All the other tracks are just as satisfying for the most part. If you love electronic/dance music, get this album.

I love this album, plain and simple. I enjoy every song on the Cd. My favourites are: I'M GONNA GET YOU , PLAYING WITH KNIVES,and TOOK MY LOVE. If you love artists like CULTURE BEAT, 2 UNLIMTITED, THE MOVEMENT, ROZOLLA, ROBIN S.,CECE PENISTON and CRYSTAL WATERS etc., I urge you to get this CD because you will love it. ...
