 Get it! Jan 19, 2007
I did not know what i was going to get when i purchased this cd, but now am i ever glad i got it. My new fav cd! The introduction of "todavia cantamos" with the crowd going nuts, gives me goose bumps everytime. Wish i could have the original record!

ESTA GRABACION CONLLEVA UN VALOR HISTORICO ESPECIAL...LOS QUE ESTUVIMOS AHI SENTIMOS COMO SE DERRUMBABAN AÑOS DE CRUELDAD, INJUSTICIA, TERROR Y DOLOR....LAS VOCES DE SILVIO Y PABLO DESPERTARON Y ANIMARON A UN PUEBLO HERIDO, SOTENIENDOLO CON LA AYUDA DE SUS PROPIOS CANTORES....CADA TEMA DE ESTA PLACA LATE POR SI SOLO Y RESPIRA UNA FRAGANCIA DE ESPERANZA Y LIBERACION TAN RARA EN ESOS TIEMPOS....MUSICALMENTE HAY DESACIERTOS, LA VERSION EN CD NO RESPETA EL VINILO DOBLE ORIGINAL..PERO ESO A QUIEN LE IMPORTA...?????TODAVIA ES POSIBLE VIBRAR, SENTIR, DISFRUTAR Y LLORAR DE EMOCION EN CADA ESCUCHA......QUIZAS NO REPRESENTE UN VALOR ESENCIAL EN LA DISCOGRAFIA DE ESTOS ARTISTAS, PERO LA OBRA EN SI, DIGNIFICA UN SENTIMIENTO DE LIBERTAD INIGUALABLE!

Very interesting live performance Dec 20, 2005
English and spanish Overview:
- English: Silvio and Pablo Milanes, are the 2 most importants singers for the Nueva Trova Cubana movement. On this disk, the quality of the sound is very good for a recording like this, and the additional argentinien singers perform very well also. Although those two singers may have about 30 discs each one, the selection here is still interesting, with some of the most popular songs from both. If you like either Silvio, Pablo, or both, and want all the discs in your collection, then buy this one. If you don't have this one, you won't miss too much this record. It has pretty much the same musical structure arrengments than the original songs, with 2 exceptions, Ojala y Oleo de Mujer con sombrero.
Spanish: Este disco tiene una seleccion de canciones acertada, diria yo, tomando el larguisimo numero de canciones que tienen Silvio y Pablo. Musicalmente, creo que no aporta mayor cosa, pero si tienes que tener todas las versiones de todas las canciones, pues compralo, no te arrepentiras, aunque no estara en tu lista de favoritos, creo yo, porque no tiene mayor valor agregado. Los cantantes invitados argentinos cantan una cancion cada uno, con resultados variados.

La rendicion vocal de Silvio Rodriguez en "Por quien merece
amor" junto a su inmortal guitarra es mi pieza favorita de
este hermoso y conmovedor cd. Como el nadie pero Pablo
Milanes te despierta del sueno con su propia propuesta igual
de digna. Los argentinos Leon Gieco, Victor Heredia y demas
completan la mision de volver a los oyentes pedazos. Altamente
recomendado.

de este album,desgraciadamente lo mutilaron,le quitaron entre otras cosas una exelente participacion de PIERO"para el pueblo" se los puedo decir porque yo tengo una copia anterior a esta en la cual se hace notar todo con lo que este concierto conto.
