The Best Oct 31, 2009 Wow, this cd was in very good condition. Looked like i bought it from the store. Very reasonable price, everything was there including the booklet. i will always buy something from Amazon. Thank You.
Embrya-a continuation of the debut but less jazz sounds Aug 29, 2009 I remember this album when I was 11. I love this album. Maxwell can make a soulful record. This album showcased his lyrical and musical growth. His smooth, sensual vocals ride on warm keyboard tones and honeyed strings, not to mention funky bass lines and strong grooves. This album showed him looking ahead with idealized lyrics and detailed production to the future. He created a symphony of sounds, layering instrument upon instrument as a rich bed for his smoky, sultry voice. He explored a range of moods:From the pathos of ballads to Latin-tinged grooves to smooth soul to deep funk. This album is about "within". This album has been certified Platinum. Remember, this was 1998.

This brought the sexy back... Aug 07, 2009 It was beautiful. No other way to describe 'Embrya'. Unlike most R&B albums it neither makes you feel lonely with heartbreaking (depressing) lyrics nor makes you feel left out with the guy only talking about wanting 'the sexy girl'. Instead, it is refreshing how Maxwell connects with his audience, male or female, and manages to soothe the mind and make the body feel...sexy.

One of my all time favorites Dec 10, 2008 This is an album you can really get lost in...if you just go with the flow & enjoy it. It is sexy, deep & entrancing. I like this album WAY more than any of Maxwells other albums. If I lose or scratch this CD...I always re-purchase. I think I am at my fourth copy. :)

Love in all her disguises... Oct 28, 2008 What can I say? I love this man's music. He is truly a vessel for putting down the soulful peace and love/baby-making grooves.
He is always on rotation in our CD player and my personal playlist.
Mmmmm... Max!
