Sure the music is old, but the older the better. I happen to like Chente's older recordings better than his new ones. This is one of the best. I remember when I heard "Cuado Yo Queria Ser Grande," I loved it. Before I bought this album I've onlt heard it with his son, Alejandro. Also, "Y Me Acorde De Ti" is nice too.

I have a lot of Vicente Fernandez recordings and this is one of my favorites. Most of the songs are old but I love them. His voice is fabulous as ever. He has a voice that can make any song beautiful. The song " Cuando yo queria ser grande " is especially touching and beautiful. Alejandro dedicated this song to him in their live recording " Un vivo juntos por ultima vez " ( Another "must have" recording for a Vicente fan )

Yes the music on this CD is old. It's also a very fine group of songs. When you combine good songs with the great voice of Vicente Fernandez, you can't go wrong.
Of my fifteen Chente recordings, this one ranks near the top. There are a couple of his well known songs (Senora de Tal, El Martes me Fusilan) but I was especially surprised at how strong the rest are.
A very gripping song on this disc is Cuando Yo Quiero ser Grande, which deals with a man watching his father age. La Ruleta is another great tune as is Me Voy Lejos. But really, all of these songs are really good. If you're a Chente fan or like this kind of music try it. It's a great buy, especially for the modest price.
