Do you know Joe? Jul 21, 2009 Strummer's "Earthquake Weather" may not be the Joe Strummer you know from the Clash. But that's not a bad thing. Joe Srummer, in this effort, gives us a unique mix of different tunes. The key to this CD is variety , from the opening cut "Gangsterville" to the excellent closer "Sleepwalk".
You may want to get to know this Joe. It's worth it!

Avoid duplicitous "new" release Sep 02, 2008 BUYER BEWARE. Item on offer as new through Amazon is a CD-R of original issue with photocopied artwork. For example, there are no interior notes, whereas the original CBS issue contained lyrics to all songs, which are important with such a literate release.
Strummer is back Jul 28, 2008 I used to own this album on vinyl, way back in the eighties. It was a brilliant idea to re- release Earthquake Weather on CD, because it definitely withstood the test of time.
A classic punk- rock song like the opening track "Gangsterville" or a more laid - back one like "Island Hopping", or the funky "Boogie with your Children" they all add to the legacy of The Clash.
A must- have for all old and new Clash fans.

My favorite Strummer Jul 19, 2008 One of the most under appreciated albums ever made. I love this record. Always have and always will. Period. Buy it. You won't be sorry. Joe at his best.
