Practical cloning Jan 20, 2010
Though a few certifiable notches below what was their creative peak a decade before, Jamiroquai's bag of tricks have fallen from grace in an easily digestible manner.
Eclectic and Hard to Resist Mar 19, 2009 I'd been away from the Jamiroquai universe for a while. Then I recently caught a clip of their Verona concert and it was like discovering them for the first time again (I'm now seriously sad that I've never seen them live). I ran out and bought this album and I love it!
I cannot stop listening to the song "Tallulah." The music on this song is excellent, but it's the lovelorn lyrics and JK's delivery that put it over the top for me.
Elsewhere, I love the deliciously sleazy groove running through "Feels Just Like it Should." This is truly an instant Jamiroquai classic and justifiably so. "Seven Days in Sunny June" is sublime and represents some of the band's best songwriting ever. "Electric Mistress" is like a trippy journey back to the 80s. "Starchild," "(Don't) Give Hate a Chance" and the title track are funky and beg you to sing along. Meanwhile, "World That He Wants" is a stripped down, acoustic number that harks back to the political content of some of the band's older work. "Hot Tequila Brown" and "Time Won't Wait" are upbeat, soulful songs that will put a smile on your face and keep it there for a long while.
The whole album flows really well, with uptempo numbers mixed with the slower songs to create a very loungy vibe. That's what I love most about Jamiroquai: their ability to craft albums that create and sustain a mood.
I love that they continue to make standout albums two decades into their career.
DYNAMITE!!!!! Oct 20, 2008 For those who like Jamiroquai, I don't need to tell you how great this album is. This review is for those that don't know his work. This would be a GREAT first album for you to get to know his music. With a little 70's funk influence, and his usual dance/electronica style, he has a very danceable, very groovy album put together. You won't be disappointed (unless you don't like this style of music, and in that case you've bought the WRONG album! That's on YOU!!!)

Strong. May 30, 2007 This is one the strongest efforts by Jamiroquai. He has cretaed his own style which is very recognisable and, of course, he keep persuing it. Jamiroquai is innovative because he is different from others. And, this is true to his every album.
"Dynamite" is diverse in tempo and includes a number of really good songs. Some of them you may enjoy when you are up in the spirit and need some further drive, the others will serve well when you are a bit down in the mood. The album is recorded very well, both highs and lows. Very well defined bass. The voice sounds very natural. The sound engineering is great.
You will enjoy both the music and the sound. You will hear the details that add to the overall perception of this highly recommended CD. Take time and it will grow on you even more.

Great blend of pop, rock, jazz, dance music ! Mar 15, 2007 Jamiroquai propels their tunes with a contagious rhytmic section of bass & drums, plus a jazzy piano, swinging pop lyrics, some tasteful guitar work and on top of that a great excuse for hitting the dance floor or at least tap a beat with your feet or hands. Excellent !
