COMPLETELY LACKING IN SUBSTANCE Feb 25, 2010 I'm amazed at the many good reviews this book got. I found it to be painfully dull to read. I really feel that Deanna was more interested in sharing her views on God then she was on the more interesting topics of her life with a professional football player and/or her battle with breast cancer neither of which were explored in any kind of depth. The complete lack of substance in this book makes me wonder why it was written at all.
Don't bet against me Feb 08, 2010 This is an excellent uplifting book especially for breast cancer survivors...it was in excellent condition and came in only a couple of days...would recommend
Great read for anyone Jan 27, 2010 This book is fabulous! It isn't just for women either! I learned a lot about the Favre family. Just because you're rich and famous doesn't mean that life is easy. Deanna is very religious and offers many biblical passages that can help anyone in need. Whether you've dealt with a tragic death, cancer, drug/alcohol abuse, etc., this book will help to give you some support and helpful advice. The most valuable things in life are faith, family, and friends. Deanna helps to show that in her book. It is so important to know that you're not alone even when things seem so bad. I have a sign in my house that reads, "God doesn't give us what we can handle; God helps us handle what we are given." This book helps to drive that point home. It is full of great information about breat cancer, too. I think everyone can connect with this book. It is truly a wonderful read.
Very Fine book...now if she could just get that hasbeen husband of hers to retire already! Jan 05, 2010 Deanna Favre, wife of lllonnnggggtime NFL QB Brett
Favre (Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, N.Y. Jets
and Minnesota Vikings...'Who's Next') spills it on her
battle with cancer and the toll these things take on
families. Her heartfelt story is puctuated with fine
antecedents on Doug Pederson and his wife, the late
Reggie 'Minister of Defence' White (Memphis Showboats-
USFL, Philadelphia Eageles, Green Bay Packers and Car-
olina Panthers, Pro Football's alltime leading sacker)
and others Packers of the Brett Favre era.
The story of how Brett coped with his father (Form-
er Indoor Football Coach, Irv) and her brothers
deaths is also highly recommeded reading. Brett can
piss all of us off, as sports writers with his chil-
dish antics, but his book can calm all of us down
and get us to thinking of more important things in
life. Brett, you married a winner. Here's a sugges-
tion: support breast cancer solutions. Thanks, Dee!
