 this design book rocks! Oct 03, 2009
i can't say enough great things about this book. great as a reference guide and fabulous inspiring photos. so sad the domino mag is no longer as i would love a series of these books. really one of my favorite design books (and i have quite a few).

College Student Who Cannot Wait to Put This Book To Use Jul 20, 2009
This book is incredible! There is a guide on every type of furniture, paint colors, different styles, and just about everything design-related you can think of. There are so many different styles represented and many rooms that show a blend of different styles to give the reader a good vision of what goes together, why, and what does not. My favorite part of this book is the little glimpse into a certain room which includes that the inspiration was, what pieces the person already had and wanted to use, and then what they bought to add and why. I am only in college right now, but I dream all the time of my first place when I can actually own my own place instead of renting. This book will come in very handy when that day comes, but until then I love looking at it and marking pages to add to my inspiration folder!

I really do enjoy this book as much as I loved their magazine. Beautiful illustrations and I thought the fabric swatch pictures and hand drawn designs and floor plans were useful tools to get an idea on how they pulled the rooms together.

Great book with good photos. Also has a handy ribbon bookmark. I will use this as a resource for years to come!!
