 not his style or the type of song he should sing Jul 09, 2009
First i have to say that the standard set by luis miguel when he first recorded most of the songs sang here by Alejandro in this album is to high for him. Secondly even though he is a very good singer he doesnt have the feeling or the smooth voice to interpret most of the boleros he sang. I`M sorry to say this but all these are songs that better suited luis miguel.Besides,he doesnt gives the songs any personal touch despite the fact that anyone can make their own versions of these clasics, i just dont feel it or hear it when i listen to the cd.Nevertheless, i still believe he is a great singer who should have chosen different songs that were not previously recorded by the best, Lhuis miguel

Even Though I Have All These Tracks On Other Albums As A Fan I Had To Pick Up This One Also, First The Gorgeous Cover Photo...A Classic!! Then It's His Last Release On Sony!! Can't Wait To Hear What He Does For Universal???!!!

I'm a fan of Alejandro Fernandez and this is one of his best albums. Romantic songs from years ago that with his beautiful voice makes them sound like new songs. I love this album and I play it over and over again. I recomend it to anybody that likes romantic music.

GREAT CD. THE RENDITION OF THESE OLD STANDARD BOLEROS IS EXCELLENT. ALEJANDRO FERNANDEZ'S VOICE IS SUITED FOR THIS STYLE OF MUSIC. IN MY OPINION I BELIEVE HIS VOICE IS MUCH RICHER THAN THAT OF HIS FATHER VINCENTE FERNANDEZ. I ENJOYED HIS INTERPRETATION OF 'CUANDO YA NO ME QUIERAS', AND 'PERFUME DE GARDENIA' MUCH MORE THAN THAT OF THE SONORA SANTANERA. I AM GLAD THAT AMAZON LOWERED THE PRICE OF THE CD, I WOULD HAVE GLADLY PAYED THE ORIGINAL PRICE.

 Old Recordings Packaged as New Feb 08, 2009
This CD is a collection of recordings already released. If you have ALL of his CDs you already have these songs. The "Perfume de Gardenias" song, supposedly the only new one, is from a Santanera tribute CD. If you are going to get this for just that song, I recommend instead purchasing the entire Santanera CD (Sonora Santanera Nuestro Aniversario). The Santanera CD is well worth the money you are paying to complete your Alejandro's collection.
