Great new artist! Feb 21, 2007 I saw a small snippet on CBS Saturday Morning that featured Danielle, and decided to purchase her new CD. What a fantastic surprise! Danielle is a great songwriter and has the support of her band to aid in crafting her songs for her listening audience.
A little bit of Melissa Etheridge, Patty Larkin and Jann Arden thrown in help describe Danielle's style. Take a chance. You won't be dissapointed.

A WONDERFUL, POWERFUL DEBUT BY A ROCKIN' SINGER Oct 03, 2006 Five BIG Stars!! This is a haunting, powerful debut by Danielle Evin. What a splendid singer she is, possessing singing skills many more well-known singers are still developing. I recently heard her singing live on the radio and was bowled over enough to track her thru Amazon and ITunes, and no surprise, this CD is consistently great.
Danielle writes powerful musical poetry and has a strong, silky voice that can go from a sultry whisper to emotional upper register runs that may give you goose bumps as she surfs above the music. With a Grammy-winning production & engineering team, the CD is first-rate with arrangements that go far beyond the usual. Her backup band is superb, providing quite a shifting musical backdrop for Danielle. Overall, there is somewhat of a U2 cast to some of these sessions with the guitars evoking master guitarist 'The Edge'.
The 'Pieces D'Resistance', the best of the best, begin with the driving "Love Is Criminal" with it's haunting lyrics, wonderful delivery, as the group produces a shimmering guitar background; plus it has a double bridge, or a bridge with interlude. And it went straight to IPod. "Five Wishes" shows her country capabilities and her note bending abilities; and there is the surprise ending. "Ugly Fool" may loop around your mind for days. "What I'd Give", "December 18", and "One Day I Will Die" are flat out powerful singing. Danielle Evin is an artist that you should hear, she's fabulous! Highly Recommended!! Five BIG Stars!!

diggin danielle Jun 29, 2006 I picked this up at recommendation of a friend who saw her perform in NYC and I love it! She's one of the few new singer/songwriters that actually has the whole package. She's got great lyrics, hooks, song composition and an amazingly emotional and expressive voice. You'd never know such soulful songs could come from such a petite woman. If you are a fan of Sarah McLaughlin, Brandi Carlile, etc. I highly encourage you to pick this album up! She's great!
