Multifaceted Genius! Nov 03, 2009 On this one CD you get your pop, rock, soul! You really understand why Michael is the King of Pop and much more! I knew most of the well known songs; Thriller, Billie Jean, Beat It, e.t.c, but there was so much more that I am just discovering! I had never heard some of the songs on this CD or I might of heard them once on a radio station somewhere but not have known that they were MJ's. For instance, "Give In To Me" - MJ doing hard rock. The companion DCD to this CD is a must have! I am just blown away by all the "new" material I am discovering! I think I now have practically all MJ's songs.
GOD BLESS THE KING!!!
It's Michael; Nothing More need said; FANTASTIC! Nov 03, 2009 Luv this CD! Best entertainer ever. He will be hugely missed. I miss him so much.
Artistic Endeavor Nov 01, 2009 To me, Dangerous is MJ's most artistic endeavor. There are several songs on here that are stand-alone artistic achievements and speak to his creative mind. The songs I am thinking of are Will You Be There, Keep the Faith, Who is It, Give in to Me and Dangerous. All of these songs have multiple layers in the music, interesting devices such as spoken word, wide ranging vocals and featured instruments such as the electric guitar on Give in to Me. They all have meaningful and complex lyrics.
There weren't a ton of #1 hits on this album, unlike Bad, but the album itself sold extremely well world-wide. The reason is that most of the songs are not "mainstream" but they all have held up over the years. I wouldn't say any of them sound outdated. There were some songs that took me a while to get into - mainly the hard-driving beats in the first few songs. My husband kept saying Dangerous was his favorite MJ album and then I finally took the time to really listen, and now I see why. I now enjoy all of the songs. They are intense. My favorite right now is Keep the Faith, which begins with a beautifully sung intro and then keeps climbing to a crescendo at the end. This album is worth owning in its entirety.
Dangerous Michael Jackson CD Oct 29, 2009 A must have for any music enthusiast. Michael Jackson makes a person wonder how did one person write so many great songs? A must have for anyone young or old.

What inspires Michael Jackson songs? Oct 23, 2009 I wanted to know what inspires Michael Jackson's songs. I found a hint of that in the following book which pertains to Dangerous.
FROM: Michael Jackson The King of Pop: The Big picture The Music! The Man! The Legend! The Interviews! An Anthology by Jel D. Lewis (Jones)
Page 13-14:
"Three years ago when he started the "Dangerous" album, which featured such hits as "Why You Wanna Trip On Me," "Remember The Time," "She Drives Me Wild" and "Can't Let Her Get Away," Michael said their relationship (his relationship with Lisa Marie) reached a new plateau.
`We sort of went out together. Then we would talk on the phone...I noticed that we had come closer. We went to Las Vegas for The Jackson Family Honors [in 1994]; we later traveled to Atlanta for (former) President Jimmy Carter to visit children, but no one knew that she was there with me.
The brilliant thing about us is that we were often together but did not let anybody know about it. We got to see each other that way over the years. We were really quiet and comfortable with each other. That's pretty much how the dating started happening.'
It was during this period that Michael said their relationship changed from being good friends to lovers."
Page 61: Since "Dangerous" was released on November 26, 1991, three years prior puts their relationship beginning sometime in 1988. This is odd because Wikipedia says that Lisa Marie Presley was married to Danny Keough (1988 - 1994). Nevertheless, the story does give insight into Michael Jackson's declaration that it should have been him instead of Keough who married Lisa Marie, when he became aware of the marriage between Presley and Keough. And the story makes sense because they already had a relationship in 1993 when the first child molestation charges were made and he took her advise regarding settling the civil case and entering drug rehabilitation, which I learned was for cocaine addiction. All of that did not suddenly occur out of the clear blue sky. It is unlikely that he would be having personnel conversations at that level with someone he became recently acquainted with and contacted with romance in mind.
Page 180: Michael Jackson tells Oprah in a 1992 interview that he has been in love with Brooke Shields and another girl. (Lisa Marie was 24 years old at the time of the interview so I'm guessing who that might be.)
Ms. Lewis claims that Lisa Marie could have provided the inspiration to the lyrics of "Remember The Time" and "I Can't Let Her Get Away" on Dangerous. She could have just as well inspired the songs "In The Closet" for sure; perhaps "Give In To Me" (I've spent a lifetime looking for someone/Don't try to understand me/Just simply do the things I ask/Love is a feeling/Give it when I want it/'Cause I'm on fire/Quench my desire); and "Black or White" (I believe in miracles and a miracle happened tonight)! Hee hee!!
Aside from being a great album, a little background of a personal nature gives "Dangerous" a twist of---the King of Rock & Roll! Hee hee!!
