LOVE THIS BAND! Oct 18, 2009 My daughters and I saw this band live recently --and WOW! They took over the stage! We became huge fans + were blown away and how kind the band members are. I'm slowly buying CD's of several other artists that we saw at the same live concert event. (Remedy Drive, Kutless, Skillet,Hawk Nelson) All of these bands are a good bet if you're looking to find contemporary Christian music that ANY music fans would love--especially tweens, teens, or young adults(but hey, i'm older and i love them too!) My kids are teens and we're all new to this genre of music--man, we've been missing out! it's exciting, though--as great finds always are :D
you will not be able to stop playing this CD !
Just not as good without Caleb Oct 13, 2009 Sorry, this is a big disapointment. they need to change the name of the band because the sound is totally different with the new singer. if you liked the old decyfer down and are really a fan you will be very disappointed

As good as the first Oct 12, 2009 I'm usually disappointed with sophomore albums--but not this one! I might even like it better than the first album. Title song is amazing.
Very Good Sophomore Release Oct 03, 2009 There is always that concern after a great debut like End of Grey, "How will they follow that up?" Decyfer Down answers that, "with no problem at all" with the release of Crash. This is a very good rock album. I have seen alot of comments preferring Caleb over TJ. Don't get me wrong, I liked Caleb's voice and sound, but TJ is a great rock singer. He has great command and power in his voice. The obvious comparisons to Chris Cornell will be made, but TJ is a great singer in his own right.
The title track "Crash" is a great hard driving rock song and a great start to what lies ahead. This release is filled with a good mix of mostly hard driving rock songs with a few slower rock songs. As several have mentioned, "Fading" is probably the best track on this CD. Although, not by much because there are so many good songs here. One of my personal favorites is the hard driving, "Ride with Me". Throughout the CD they cover everything from struggles with addiction to struggles with faith and the strength to not just follow the crowd.
If you are looking for a good hard rock CD, I would strongly recommend Crash.
Very pleased! Sep 24, 2009 This was definitely not a let down! The ballads are what make this album such a diverse piece of work. They are still their hardcore selves, but in this album, they take a little different direction and turn the songs upward instead of outward. There are so many "Christian" bands out there that rock and provide great music, but there are only a handful that focus on the reality of life with God.
Anyway, good stuff. Go buy it. Love it. then write a review about how great it is!
