JT is Lame! Jun 06, 2009 This album is a bad idea and even worse product. JT should have stuck with a studio album with all of his good folk songs. That's really what we all want to hear. His new songs are boring and predictable. He's changed his voice too. He now sounds too sweet and soft spoken. Go back to the old folk singer voice JT. The band is way too big. He doesn't really need piano, strings, horns, female singers, etc. Ditch the band and go solo in concert and record it for the 2009 tour. Just stick to the basics that made you great JT.

...the man who's name is on the label.... Jun 05, 2009 there has never been an album put out by this man that I have regretted purchasing. Until this one. I won't buy the second. I hope he gets this out of his system and goes back to doing his own stuff, or finds songs to cover that suit his style more. These weren't it.

Another great album by James Taylor May 09, 2009 There's something about James Taylor's mellow voice that just makes me feel all relaxed and comfortable every time I listen to him sing. This album is no exception. I was glad to see Wichita Lineman in this collection, a song I haven't even thought about in years. I think I like his version even better than Glen Campbell's.
There's a good mix of fast and slow songs on this album, but I always like the slow ones like Sadie and Suzanne the best. Actually, there's not a weak one in the whole bunch. I bought the mp3 version and put it on my iPod. It's great to listen to when I'm out walking.

James is still here, yeah! Apr 15, 2009 Great renditions of some old favorites by a great smoothie artist, James Taylor. Loved the easy listening and fun CD.
