Seductive Synth Jul 13, 2009 I'm under an Uh Huh Her spell and can't stop listening!! Go Cam and Leisha! I have 2 favorite LA bands, UHH and Jen & Abby! I saw UHH at the Avalon in LA in November and they really rocked it out! I swear, I go around all day with Explode, Common Reaction and Covered in my head. Can't wait for their new album--hurry up girls!!
Uh Huh Her Common Reaction Jun 28, 2009 I was very happy with this purchase. I would purchase from this from this seller again. It arrived before projected receiving time.
I wanna explode... May 25, 2009 Firstly, YES, I am a massive fan of the L Word...and yes Alice is one of my favourite characters...(ok she's my favourite!) So I would have brought this album on default all for the love of Leisha...but wow, what a surprise, cool, laid back electro grooves, alluring, sensual vocals...it's a great album from go to whoa...
Favorutie tracks are Explode...the start of it is so cool...I also like the title track, it gets stuck in your head...
I don't think it's really like Goldfrapp although that's what people are saying...think Stevie Nicks in the 80's when the synth was king (or queen)...
Awesome!!! May 07, 2009 Very good album! Both girls are awesome! Great music, lyrics, songs..
Just listen to it and you'll get the picture!!!
AN UNHERALDED GEM OF TRUE BEAUTY Mar 30, 2009
Camila Grey and Leisha Hailey are the creative duo behind the band "Uh Huh Her." They have created a beautiful, wonderfully crafted CD which, unfortunately, probably won't receive mass attention due to the fact that the album has no strong-arm record company behind it to promote it.
Camila sings lead and plays keys, synth, bass, guitars and programmed drums. Leisha adds harmonies and synth. The harmonies on this CD are sweet and intricate. Very nicely done. For those not familiar with Leisha Hailey, she is the actress who played "Alice" on Showtime's popular series "The L Word." She is an accomplished musician/vocalist and co-wrote all the songs on "Common Reaction."
There simply is not a bad song on this CD. The tunes are gentle synth-pop with heavy catchy drum beats reminiscent of the 80's band "The 77's". The lyrics are thoughtful and expressive. The vocals are soft and pretty. Nothing abrassive here. I can listen to this CD all the time and not get irritated or bored by it. If I had to pick a favorite song off the CD it would be "Wait Another Day." Wow! So pretty!
If you want a great, dreamy listening experience (while you relax in the bath, when you're making love or whenever) "Common Reaction" is a MUST for your CD collection. ENJOY!
